Marvel & ABC Give ‘Mockingbird’ TV Series MARVEL’S MOST WANTED A Pilot Order
Variety has confirmed that ABC have ordered a pilot for Marvel’s Most Wanted, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff which is still set to revolve around Adrianne Palicki’s Mockingbird and her ex-husband, Lance Hunter (Nick Blood). They’re set to be the main stars of the new series, and it was previously reported that:
Insiders say the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. Though plot details are scarce at this point, ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’ will follow the pair and their adventures together.
It’s definitely an interesting premise, but will it work? That obviously remains to be seen, but the show has some impressive talents behind the scenes, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski who co-created the project and are co-writing the pilot. The network has never before acknowledged its existence, but ABC President Paul Lee today promised that the script is “really good” when confirming that it’s definitely moving forward. Thoughts?
Rachel Keller Cast as Female Lead in FX’s X-Men Spin-Off Legion
Deadline reports that “Fargo” star Rachel Keller has been the first cast in FX’s television spin-off of the X-Men franchise, “Legion”. Her specific character is being kept under wraps for the time being, but she is described as “a scrappy, optimistic woman.” The outlet also notes that her mutant powers may have something to do with physical touch. Netflix Working on New ‘Voltron,’ Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Trollhunters’
Netflix’s plan to double its original content by 2016 proved undoubtedly ambitious, and it seems DreamWorks Animation may help it happen. The two have partnered up to add some major names to Netflix’s original programming slate, including a new Voltron series, as well as Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters project. According to Variety, the new agreement between Netflix and DreamWorks will add both a number of original series and the studio’s feature films, as well as DreamWorks content to markets outside China. Among the new series, Netflix is said to be developing a “re-imagining” of the Voltron property, as well as del Toro’s Trollhunters, which “will unleash a new, fantastical world wrapped around two best friends who make a startling discovery beneath their hometown.” Not only that, but the deal also expands the marketplace for existing series The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Dinotrux, and Dragons: Race to the Edge, while new series will be developed off DreamWorks movies, past, present and future.Guillermo del Toro has his ladle in enough enough stews to give Trollhunters a unique flavor, but what should we expect from a new Voltron series?

RAMBO NEW BLOOD Father and Son TV Series?
Looks like we are going to get a Rambo TV series at Fox called “Rambo: New Blood”. The Network just closed a development deal, and Sylvester Stallone is on board as an executive producer. According to Deadline, there’s a chance that Stallone could also star in the series, but that is not set in stone. Why Marvel Has Been Purposefully Withholding IRON FIST
When Marvel and Netflix failed to announce, well, just about anything about Iron Fist, the fourth show in its lineup that began with Daredevil and leads up to the superhero team-up mini-series The Defenders, the internet began to wonder about the show’s prospects. Reports started showing up about how the company didn’t know what to do with the character, and then how they were reportedly going to turn Iron Fist into a movie and give Jon Bernthal’s Punisher his own spin-off show to take Iron Fist’s place on the roster. JESSICA JONES Talks About a Possible Season 2 and THE DEFENDERS
The first season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones dropped on Netflix late last week, and many fans have already torn through every episode. There has been a ton of positive responses to it so far, with many saying it’s an even better show than Daredevil. Mike Colter’s Luke Cage shows up in the series and plants the seeds for his own series, and I suspect Krysten Ritter’s Jessica will at least make an appearance in his solo show, but will we see a second season of Jessica Jones before the eventual team-up series The Defenders?
