Phil Lord Offers an Update on The Flash Movie

Screenwriters Phil Lord and Chris Miller update on the status of their The Flash movie.

It was revealed last month that Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street) are writing Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming big screen take on DC Comics’ fastest man alive. Although it was already revealed that The Flash, set for release March 23, 2018, will star Ezra Miller as Central City’s scarlet speedster, Lord announced during The Hippojuice Podcast (via /Film), that The Perks of Being a Wallflower star will likely be playing a new iteration of Barry Allen, as opposed to one of the other men who have appeared as the hero in the comics. Extended Trailer For DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

The CW has released the first trailer and promo image for their upcoming new series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It centers on the adventures of a team of DC superheroes that include The Flash, Arrow, White Canary, The Atom, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, Heatwave, and Firestorm. Together they will go up against the immortal villain, Vandal Savage, who has been a part of the DC Comics universe for decades. The series looks like it’s going to offer some crazy fun entertainment, and the network gives fans a lot of information in this first promo. Tom Hardy Explains Why He Left SUICIDE SQUAD

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is getting some serious press these days, and I continue to believe that there’s more excitement about this than there is about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Suicide Squad sounds like it could be excellent, and it certainly has a solid cast attached to it. But there was a time during which that cast was even better, and that’s when Tom Hardy was attached to play Rick Flagg. The actor had to drop out of the project before filming began, and there were some rumors at the time that his reason for leaving was that he wasn’t happy with the script.
