Aubrey Joseph And Olivia Holt Land Lead Roles In ‘Cloak & Dagger’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is growing at an incredibly fast pace, and the newest heroes we’ll get to see join that world are Cloak and Dagger, who are getting their own TV show at Freeform (formerly ABC Family).

The project had been relatively quiet ever since its announcement in April of 2016, until today. Deadline is reporting that Marvel has officially cast its two young runaway superheroes and has revealed new descriptions for the characters: Continue reading

Tom Holland Says Flash Thompson Will Be a Different Bully Than We’re Used To

In the comics, Flash Thompson was always a hulking bully who terrorized Peter Parker in high school. So when Marvel cast the scrawny Tony Revolori in the role, many people began to scratch their heads. I don’t mean scrawny in a negative way, but he’s nowhere near as large as the character who will eventually become Agent Venom. Continue reading

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Action Figures Give Us a Look at Peter Parker’s Homemade Suit

Hasbro has revealed their line of Spider-Man: Homecoming action figures. There are a couple of 6-inch figures of Spidey, the villain Vulture, a Spider-Man car, and a couple playsets. The coolest thing in the collection is the Spider-Man action figure featuring Peter Parker’s homemade suit. This suit has been briefly teased in Captain America: Civil War and in the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming because apparently, we’ll be getting a little back story on Parker before he meets up with Tony Stark and gets his new suit. This is our best look yet at Spidey’s early costume. It looks lie a bootleg costume you see in Times Square. Continue reading

Sony’s Animated ‘Spider-Man’ Movie To Star Miles Morales

Marvel

Miles Morales will be the “star” of Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man animated movie. That’s the official confirmed news from Sony’s just-concluded animation presentation, a morning that also saw footage from The Emoji Movie and the next Smurfs movie (there are a lot more female Smurfs this time around). The big news is that, as hoped/rumored, Mr. Morales will be taking flight on the big screen as the would-be webslinger over Christmas weekend 2018 when the Bob Persichetti/Peter Ramsey-directed and Phil Lord/Chris Miller-executive produced animated adventure debuts. And it’s terrific news for several reasons. Continue reading

Marvel superheroes that won’t survive Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled for May 4, 2018, and promises to be a massive, epic, worthy “finale” for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first three chapters. By now, the MCU has grown to encompass dozens of heroes—meaning there are plenty of candidates to bite the dust in the epic battle with Thanos. And people will die: The film is loosely based on the Infinity Gauntlet comic book, which was one of the biggest events ever and killed off pretty much every one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes at different points along the way. Who will Marvel Studios choose to eat it? Here’s our take on the candidates most likely to not survive Marvel’s blockbuster war: (POTENTIAL SPOILERS!) Continue reading

Zoe Saldana Reveals James Gunn Is a Producer on AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and Confirms Gamora

It’s no secret that the Guardians of the Galaxy team is going to be in Avengers: Infinity War. It’s been teased by the writers and later confirmed by Vin Diesel. Zoe Saldana is now talking about the highly anticipated Marvel film, and in an interview with IGN, she seemingly confirms that Guardians of the Galaxy franchise director James Gunn will serve as a producer on the 2018 release. Her exact words were:

“James Gunn is a producer on [Avengers: Infinity War]. I know that he won’t ever let the integrity of what he’s created for the Guardians ever be compromised, so I’m at ease.”

Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man Will Be in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

I think it’s always been safe to assume that Spider-Man would be back in action fighting alongside the Avengers in Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War. However, there’s been no official confirmation until now, so if any of you had any doubt, Tom Holland confirmed it in an interview with Vogue. After all, the last we heard from Holland on the matter was that Spider-Man’s inclusion in the film was “all up in the air.” Continue reading
