Eromanga Sensei Teaser Visual and Trailer Released!

Oreimo’s Fushimi Tsukasa and Kanzaki Hiro are back with another TV anime adaptation, thanks to A-1 Pictures! Eromanga Sensei will air from Apr. 8 and you can check out their latest promotional image below.

As displayed in the PV, the show’s opening theme will be “Hitorigoto” by ClariS while TrySail will provide the ending with “adrenaline!!”.

KANA-BOON To Sing Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Opening Theme

KANA-BOON’s “Baton Road” has been selected as the opening theme for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, which airs from April 2017.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations follows the adventures of Naruto’s son Boruto and builds on the success of the 2015 theatrical feature, Boruto: Naruto The Movie, for which KANA-BOON also provided the main theme song.

KANA-BOON are big fans of the Naruto franchise and have already collaborated with the series three times including the Naruto Shippuden opening theme “Silhouette”, the Boruto: Naruto The Movie theme “Diver”, and the PS4 game Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 opening theme “Spiral”.

You’ll be able to hear “Baton Road” and see the accompanying animation when the show airs for the first time on April 5!

A Second Season of Hozuki no Reitetsu Is Finally Coming!

The second season of Hozuki no Reitetsu ( Hozuki’s Coolheadedness ) was officially announced on Mar. 11 at the “Hell’s Encyclopedia in Roppongi” event! The anime continuation of Eguchi Natsumi’s work will resume in Oct. 2017.

Countless fans have been waiting patiently for this exact announcement since the first season came to an end in 2014 – but that’s no surprise considering the series’ popularity. Not only is Hozuki no Reitetsu serialized in Morning, but it’s also sold over 10 million copies since its first release in 2011!

Regarding the announcement, creator Eguchi commented, “I’m really pleased! From those on the staff to all of my readers, I truly thank everyone who’s made this possible. Personally, I hope everyone is moved and enjoys it as much as I do!” Hozuki’s voice actor Yasumoto Hiroki also commented, “Getting to work on this series will be a pleasure, but I’m also thrilled to experience the world of Hozuki no Reitetsu and everything that comes with it. Plus, I get to work alongside talented peers – it’s a wonderful feeling.”

To commemorate the upcoming arrival of this long-awaited season, a mini exhibition will be held at Tokyo’s BOOKMARK Asakusabachi from Apr. 22 to May. 7 featuring Hozuki no Reitetsu art. Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier Makes a Comeback with New Song “Go~~rgeous”!

The Macross series has been loved by fans since its creation in 1982, keeping them on the edge of their seats with love triangles, intense space battles, and the power of music. Music has always been an integral part of the series with musical idols often playing an important part. One of such characters is Sheryl Nome, the “Galactic Fairy” of Macross Frontier, who is still highly popular among fans.

Sheryl’s loyal followers were rewarded when the franchise announced a countdown to her comeback. Sheryl returned to the screens in Shinjuku and Akihabara on March 12 at 12:30pm, with throngs of fans gathering to watch her new music video on the large billboard screens.

Sheryl Nome is one of the main heroines in Macross Frontier, a songstress known and loved throughout the Milky Way. Her duet song with Ranka titled, “Lion”, which is the second opening of the anime, is a beloved classic that often comes up at karaoke parties. In the series, she acts as a mentor toward the other heroine, Ranka Lee, an aspiring idol and her rival for the affections of Alto Saotome. She is voiced by Endo Aya and May’n (singing parts).

The song “Go~~rgeous” takes inspiration from Arabian music, revealing a new, bewitching charm to the Galactic Fairy as a belly dancer. The 2-minute PV will be shown between Mar. 12 and 19 in the metropolitan area. Be on the lookout as more details are to follow soon~

Voice Actor & Ticket Details Released for Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry!

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry has been teasing us with steady updates on their site ahead of the May 6 release date, and they finally added even more info to the site! This included the voice actors for movie original characters Animus, Sonya, and Zash (Furukawa Makoto, Yuki Aoi, and Saitou Jiro respectively), as well as comments from Furukawa, and details about the advanced sale tickets!

The first round of advanced sale tickets will open this Friday on Mar. 17. The MoviTicket card will feature an original illustration by Mashima Hiro of Natsu and come with a bonus clear file (adults: 1,400 yen (tax included), children: 900 yen (tax included).

New Hibike! Euphonium Movie Announced for Fall 2017!

Countless fans gathered on Mar. 12 at the Mielparque Hall in Tokyo for an unbelievable Hibike! Euphonium event! Attendees were treated to cast appearances, contests, and several musical performances – and at the very end of the night, they were rewarded with the announcement of a new Hibike! Euphonium movie!

The upcoming film will recap the entire events of the season season. A specific title or release date has yet to be revealed, but the film is expected to premiere sometime in Fall 2017.

Donten ni Warau: Gaiden Anime Adaptation Announced!

Donten ni Warau: Gaiden ( Laughing Under the Clouds: Side Story ), a side story to the popular series Laughing Under the Clouds is getting an anime adaptation! It will be produced by Wit Studio, the animation studio behind Attack on Titan and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. The movie will hit theaters this winter.

The announcement was also accompanied by the launch of the anime’s official Twitter account where you can check the latest developments!

Laughing Under the Clouds is a supernatural action manga by Karakara Kemuri, which takes place in the Meiji era. The story follows the Kumo brothers, Tenka, Soramaru, and Chutaro, who make ends meet by ferrying criminals to Gokumonjo, an inescapable prison built in the middle of Lake Biwa.

The manga was serialized in Monthly Comic Avarus from 2011 to 2014 and was adapted into an anime series shortly after its conclusion. It also has a live action movie coming up in 2018.
