Lucas Reveals Original Star Wars: Episode VII Plan, Alex Ross Comic Cover Debuts

Exclusive Star Wars R2-D2 Measuring Cup Set

That *bleep* means your oven’s preheated

One of the fun things about using these R2-D2 measuring cups is that you get to play like you’re a Jawa. See, you found this droid, and in order to make it useful, you’re going to have to take it all apart. Utinni! But NOT with your ion blaster. Sorry. And we recommend an apron for the kitchen vs. those brown robes with the potentially flammable cuffs. Continue reading

SUPERGIRL Will be a Crime Drama, More Details Revealed

There seems to be a lot of hype building up for the new Supergirl series in development by Warner Bros. TV and CBS. We now have some additional details that I think you’ll be interesting in knowing. According to CBS entertainment chairman Nina Tassler, the series will be a crime procedural, and we may not see her show up in Arrow or The Flash after all. Here’s what she told EW:

“There will be cases, but what [executive producers] Ali Adler and Greg Berlanti pitched was a real series arc for her. The beauty of it is now with shows like Good Wife and Madam Secretary, you can have serialized story elements woven into a case of the week. She’s a crime solver, so she’s going to have to solve a crime. She’s going to get a bad guy.”

G.I. Joe 3 May Have Its Director. And Is Still Happening, Apparently

I kind of totally forgot that the live-action G.I. Joe movies were a thing that were happening. And now it looks like Paramount is gearing up for a third go at this, with another new director.

Deadline is reporting that DJ Caruso, who is currently in the process of making The Disappointment Room with Kate Beckinsale and Lucas Till, is in early negotiations to direct G.I Joe 3. He’ll take over for John Chu, whose G.I. Joe Retaliation, which effectively rebooted the films with Dwayne Johnson as the lead, grossed over $372 million worldwide.

And, yeah, Chu’s Johnson-starring sequel was a much better G.I. Joe movie. But the first film was one of the most fun/awful things I’ve ever seen in the theaters. I will never forget the part where shooting an iceberg resulted in the smaller pieces of ice starting to sink. Amazing.
