Jason Momoa Talks Aquaman and Superhero Diversity

Jason Momoa Aquaman

Although we’ve only seen Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel when it comes to confirmed chapters in DC Comics’ currently-brewing cinematic universe, plans for the future are looking quite ambitious. Next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature the big screen introduction of quite a few familiar comic book superheroes, including Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, Cyborg, played by Ray Fisher, and Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa. The latter of those three today spoke with The Daily Beast about his excitement for what’s to come and about his pride in helping bring about superhero diversity. Mehcad Brooks to Play James Olsen on Supergirl

Mehcad Brooks to Play James Olsen on Supergirl

Mehcad Brooks (“Necessary Roughness,” “True Blood,” “Desperate Housewives”) has been cast as James Olsen on CBS’ “Supergirl” TV series, from Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions (“Arrow,” “The Flash”). He is joining actress Melissa Benoist, who plays Kara Zor-El. Continue reading

Elizabeth Olsen Talks Scarlet Witch’s Origin in AGE OF ULTRON, Possible Romance with Vision, and More

If you aren’t familiar with the work of Elizabeth Olsen, I’d highly recommend checking out Martha Marcy May Marlene. The young actress wasn’t really given much to do in last year’s Godzilla, but she’s immensely talented, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what Joss Whedon – a writer known for crafting solid female roles – does with her Scarlet Witch character in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Ant-Man Prequel Comic Reveals Peggy Carter Connection

Peggy Carter Ant-Man

We learned last fall that Hayley Atwell is set to make an appearance in Marvel Studio’s upcoming “Phase Two” capper, Ant-Man. Rumors at the time suggested that the Peyton Reed film will feature a flashback in which Hank Pym meets with the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D. Today, Newsarama has posted several pages from Marvel’s official comic book tie-in prequel to the film, revealing a surprising working relationship between Pym and an older Peggy Carter. As you can see from the page below, Peggy appears to be training with Pym using a very similar method to the one she employed to test Steve Roger’s vibranium shield in Captain America: The First Avenger. Does this mean that Michael Douglas’ Pym will have extensive ties to S.H.I.E.L.D.? Only time will tell, but it’s certainly looking likely. Continue reading

Kill La Kill Is Coming To Toonami

klk1

The spiritual successor to the beloved anime series Gurren Lagann, Kill La Kill will make its U.S. television debut at 12:30 p.m. on February 7th! Given how saucy the show is — that’s main character in her battle outfit, and that’s not even mentioning the show’s revolutionary nudists — this is just a touch insane. Continue reading

Fantastic 4 trailer……finally!!!

the-fantastic-four-2015-why-miles-teller-thinks-we-re-going-to-love-it-the-fantastic-four-2015finally!!  a fantastic 4 trailer!  check it out and let us know what your thoughts are on this new movie coming out this summer!

Nearly six years after 20th Century Fox announced a reboot of the franchise, and after the superhero renaissance that has banked billions, the studio has released the first two-minute teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four, plus this synopsis: “Four young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.”

It’s, well… fantastic. From first glance, The Fantastic Four looks like it’s taking a page from the “grimdark” book of successful superhero reboots like Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/the Thing, respectively, the film has aged down its cast — and boosted its talent considerably.

Simon Kinberg, who co-wrote and produced the film, told Latino Review that the film will be “more grounded, more character driven, more emotional and a little more dramatic” compared to the previous Fantastic Four films (thank God), which might explain the trailer’s notable lack of any, well, superpowers.

Although the comic book series is part of the Marvel Universe, don’t expect Tony Stark or Peter Parker to show up in any post-credit scenes — due to complicated and annoying intellectual property issues, the Avengers and Spider-Man franchises are forcibly separated, at least for now.

So take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think.   Myself  i see some  red  flags,  but as a marvel fan i will keep an open mind about the movie!  what are your thoughts we  want to know!

Chris Pratt Sought for Indiana Jones Reboot?

Chris Pratt Indiana Jones Reboot

Although the outlet is sure to note that plans are in very early stages, Deadline is reporting that Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm are eyeing Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt to potentially replace Harrison Ford as the headlining star of the Indiana Jones franchise!

Although the most recent big screen adventure, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was not entirely a hit with critics, the fourth film in the series managed to gross more than $786 million worldwide when it was released in 2008. Shortly thereafter, George Lucas hinted that plans were underway for a fifth cinematic adventure, but he admitted that he had yet to decide on a MacGuffin (A term popularized by Alfred Hitchcock, referring to a narrative element that drives the story forward, such as the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark). Following the sale of Lucasfilm to Walt Disney Pictures and Lucas’ own subsequent retirement, however, hints regarding plans for the future of the franchise have been few and far between. Ford, however, has suggested that he’s quite eager to reprise the role himself, despite turning 73 this year.

Pratt, who also starred last year in The LEGO Movie, is rapidly rising as a Hollywood star. He’ll appear this summer in director Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World and is set to star opposite Denzel Washington in Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming remake of The Magnificent Seven.

What do you think of Pratt potentially playing Dr. Henry Jones? Is there anyone else you’d like to see in this role? we want to know who you would pick for the reboot!

The Ghostbusters Reboot Cast Revealed!

Ghostbusters Reboot Cast

It’s official! Meet your new Ghostbusters! Paul Feig, the director of the upcoming reboot, just took to Twitter to reveal his new cast. Headlining the supernatural comedy are Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Melissa McCarthy (The Heat, Tammy), Leslie Jones (“Saturday Night Live,” Top Five) and Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live,” Life Partners).

A remake of director Ivan Reitman’s 1984 comedy classic, Feig’s take on the property is said to be targeting a scarier tone that will not maintain any continuity with the original film or its 1989 sequel (or the surprisingly continuity-heavy animated series “The Real Ghostbusters,” for that matter).

Back in September, original Ghostbusters star Bill Murray revealed his own “fan cast” for a female-driven franchise reboot, which included both McCarthy (his St. Vincent co-star) and Wiig alongside Linda Cardinelli (“Freaks and Geeks,” “Mad Men”) and Emma Stone (The HelpThe Amazing Spider-Man).

Plans call for Ghostbusters to shoot this summer in New York. Check back for further details on the production as they become available!

I have to say as a big fan of the ghostbusters  i am not  really happy with the  choices that have been picked its just not  going to be the same.  Maybe its me  but i feel that this is not going to  work out! What do you think of this line-up? Is there anyone else you’d like to see? Share your thoughts we want to know!
