Hugh Jackman’s time as Wolverine may be coming to an end.
The actor, who has portrayed the “X-Men” character since the beginning of the franchise in 2000, hinted on Instagram on Saturday that he may be doing that just one more time.
Cinemablend reported rumors earlier this week that Wolverine will indeed make an appearance in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Could this be the appearance Jackman is talking about? Without Jackman as Wolverine, will the franchise crumble to pieces? We’d guess probably not, but one should never underestimate the Power of Jackman.

The RoboCop franchise is an American superhero cyberpunk media franchise featuring the futuristic adventures of Alex Murphy, a Detroit, Michigan police officer, mortally wounded in the line of duty who is converted into a powerful cyborg brand named Robocop at the behest of a powerful mega-corporation, Omni Consumer Products. Thus equipped, Murphy battles both violent crime in a severely decayed city and the blatantly corrupt machinations within OCP.
In 2028, OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. While its drones have long been used by the military overseas, their use is forbidden in American law enforcement. However, OmniCorp gets a golden opportunity to crack that market when Detroit cop Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) is critically injured in the line of duty. By transforming Murphy into a cyborg, OmniCorp executives hope to rake in billions for their shareholders, but they forget one thing: There's still a man inside the machine.
During its first demonstration, ED-209 malfunctioned disastrously, blasting junior executive Mr. Kinney to death over a sustained period of time. Dr. McNamara and his fellow technicians struggled to gain control over ED-209, having to pull some sort of plug to finally shut it down. Because of the Kinney tragedy, the RoboCop program was given the green-light.
Twin Cobra cannons provide precision-strike cover for close-combat searches while anti-armor Hellfire missiles offer 360-deployment for defensive / disruptive maneuvers. Warheads may vary. Environmentally sensitive yet blast resistant, all units possess the latest in O-Shield material, wrapping reactive graphene armor on the lightest liquid-steel infused mesoskeletal structure yet. Armed with full media capability – 360 infrasonic cameras and audio targeting – ED-209 operates as evidence recorder, analyzer and transmitter. Real-time backup ensures operational security. Solar O-cells draw directly from the stars or can be remotely charged from equatorial fuel stations for blackout sorties (subterranean, etc.). The ultimate in clean fuel, enriched O-cells power communications, motion, and weaponry.
