Zendaya joins Tom Holland in Spider-Man reboot

Zendaya is swinging into the cast of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man reboot.

The actress and singer has been cast alongside Tom Holland in the film, EW has confirmed.

Holland will star as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the new take on the web-slinger, which will be directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and due out in 2017. Marvel boss Kevin Feige has previously said the as-yet-untitled film will be inspired by John Hughes movies, and will not be an origin story. Continue reading →

Marvel’s Spider-Man Solo Film Might be Called SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

When it was reported that writer and director Drew Goddard would be developing the solo Spider-Man movie for Marvel and Sony, there was talk of the film being called Spectacular Spider-Man. Now it seems things may have changed. According to ex-Latino Review journalist, Umberto Gonzales, the working title of the film will be Spider-Man: The New Avenger.
