When it comes to Daredevil Season 2, we’ve mostly heard about The Punisher and what he’ll be bringing to Hell’s Kitchen in the next chapter of Daredevil’s story. Elektra is also set to play a big role in the show, but the interest in her character doesn’t seem as high as Punisher.

In the comics, Elektra is a deadly assassin and one of Daredevil’s main love interests. During her run, she has been both a villain and an ally. Punisher pictures from Daredevil Season 2

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in production, and today we have some photos from the set featuring Jon Bernthal as The Punisher roughing up a petty thug, or maybe a cop, who is obviously no match for him.

As you can see, Frank Castle isn’t sporting his classic look yet with the skull logo on his chest, but there’s no doubt that he will. I’m sure he won’t be drawing that kind of attention to himself everywhere he goes. I am looking forward to seeing what his battle costume does look like, though!

One thing is for sure: Benthal looks freakin’ badass in the role. That is the best casting decision they could have made! I would love to eventually see this character make his way to the big screen in the MCU. That goes for Daredevil too! Continue reading →

Netflix Talks Marvel Series Including Jessica Jones and Punisher

Netflix Talks Marvel Series Including Jessica Jones and Punisher.

According to IGN, the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour held today revealed a few interesting details about the future of the Marvel Television Universe thanks to Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos, who addressed how the successful “Daredevil” getting quickly re-upped for a second season will effect the eventual rollout of “The Defenders” team-up show.

“I think ideally there will be a rhythm of about every six months you’ll get a new season or a new series from the Defenders group,” Sarandos said. “And then they’ll crossover into a combined [Defenders] season once we’ve launched the first season of each of the four characters. Some will selectively have multiple seasons as they come out of the gate. So they’ll probably be two launches a year.”

Marvel’s Phase 2 of Netflix Could Include Punisher, Blade, Ghost Rider and More

Daredevil ended up being a huge hit for Marvel and Netflix, and fans are excitedly anticipating the future of their partnership and the shows they’re developing for fans. Apparently the series did better than anyone at Marvel and Netflix expected. Right now AKA Jessica Jones is in production, with Luke Cage and Iron Fist currently in development. This first phase of these Netflix series will lead to The Defenders.
