Captain America Sixth Scale Figure by Hot Toys

marvel-captain-america-civil-war-captain-america-sixth-scale-hot-toys-902657-15Marvel’s biggest blockbuster of 2016, Captain America: Civil War, is only a few months away. In this exciting new film, the government is becoming concerned with the collateral damage caused by the Avengers and decides to politically interfere with the Avengers’ activities, which divided Captain America and Iron Man over the accountability of the Avengers.

Sideshow and Hot Toys are very excited to present the new sixth scale figure of the main character from the film – Captain America Steve Rogers!

The movie-accurate Captain America Collectible Figure is specially crafted based on the image of Chris Evans as Captain America/Steve Rogers in Captain America: Civil War. It features a helmeted head sculpt with two interchangeable lower faces, a newly painted un-helmeted head sculpt of Steve Rogers, a newly developed body that naturally portrays Captain America’s muscularly toned body, a completely new Captain America suit, a metal circular shield, a broken Crossbones helmet, and a specially designed Captain America: Civil War themed figure stand! Steve Rogers Will be Captain America Again!

Steve Rogers Will be Captain America Again!

For well over a year now, Steve Rogers hasn’t been the Star Spangled Man in the pages of Marvel Comics. Not because he had been killed in the line of duty like other heroes, but because the Super-Soldier Serum had been removed from his body and aged him to accurately reflect how old he is. Following that, Steve passed the mantle to his long-time partner Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, now Marvel has announced that Steve will pick up the shield and return as the hero in a new comic series “Captain America: Steve Rogers”.

Writer Nick Spencer (Sam Wilson: Captain America) and artist Jesus Saiz (Swamp Thing) will bring the series to life as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of the character. Continue reading

Chris Evans Willing To Extend His Captain America Contract With Marvel

Captain America

Chris Evans’ relationship with Marvel Studios has been viewed as a tenuous one. He was reluctant to sign up for the role of Captain America at first, and he’s been more vocal than his co-stars about looking forward to having more time for other projects when his contract is up.

However, Evans tells Collider that, if Marvel wants him to stick around, all the studio has to do is ask:

“Listen, if Marvel wants me they got me. I’ve never had such a relationship where you have such—I mean look at my resume, I’m used to being on set being like, ‘Ah is this movie gonna be terrible?’ Marvel just can’t stop making great movies, they do it in their sleep. Its wonderful directors and producers and actors and scripts, and it’s like a playground as an actor.”

Short version: Captain America is a big upgrade from Human Torch.

As to Evans’ initial hesitation about joining the Marvel Universe, he seems pretty confident that he ended up making the right decision:

“It’s so mind-boggling that I was so tentative in the beginning to jump onboard. What an asshole I would be if I hadn’t done this. I mean can you imagine? Kicking myself—I’d never forgive myself!”

In another recent interview, Evans said that he was “terrified” thinking about being finished with Captain America. Assuming Marvel Studios doesn’t have other plans for the star-spangled suit and shield, maybe a contract extension is in Evans’ future.

According to this cover, it was Hawkeye was chasing Ultron in a Quinjet, and then Captain America dropped out of the bottom of the jet on a motorcycle and zoomed off to save the day like a total badass?
