New STAR TREK Series In Development at CBS

Another Star Trek series is currently in development at CBS, and it’s being developed by Alex Kurtzman, who has worked on the previous two films directed by J.J. Abrams. The series will arrive just in time for the 50th anniversary of the franchise.

The new series was picked up straight to series by CBS, and it is slated to premiere in January of 2017. According to THR, the new Star Trek show will “introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.” Continue reading →

Marvel Announces HAUNTED MANSION Comic Book

Over the weekend, Marvel announced that they will be a releasing a new Disney Kingdoms comic book that focuses on The Haunted Mansion. Guillermo del Toro has slowly been developing a feature film adaptation of the classic Disneyland attraction for years. I know that film project isn’t dead yet. For some reason, though, they are just taking their sweet time with it.

The Haunted Mansion comic will be a horror-comedy that, obviously, focuses on the haunted mansion and all of the ghosts who inhabit its walls. Three of these ghosts are teased, and those are, of course, the hitchhiking ghosts.

There’s no official information on the plot or when the comic will be released, but it’s expected to launch sometime early next year. As a huge fan of The Haunted Mansion I’m excited to see what they plan on doing with this comic.
