Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan Talk Shared Universal Monsters Universe
Two years ago, it was revealed that Universal was eager to take their slate of classic monster movies and revive them into their own shared cinematic universe, and producers Alex Kurtzman (Transformers) and Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious) officially began developing the Universal Monsters Universe last year. New STAR TREK Series In Development at CBS
Another Star Trek series is currently in development at CBS, and it’s being developed by Alex Kurtzman, who has worked on the previous two films directed by J.J. Abrams. The series will arrive just in time for the 50th anniversary of the franchise.
The new series was picked up straight to series by CBS, and it is slated to premiere in January of 2017. According to THR, the new Star Trek show will “introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.” Continue reading
