Amazing Spider-Fans to Sony: Release the Deleted Scenes

Did you feel that there was something missing from The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Something that would tie the whole movie together? A number of somethings, even? Some visual, almost scenic things which, added into the movie, would make it a better whole?

Well, if so, then you’re not alone. Whats more, a petition has gone up on change.org asking Sony to release a director’s cut of the film, including scenes that were spotted in Teaser Trailers, but not in the final release.

The petition also asks fans to share the idea not only with Spider-Fans everywhere, but specifically with Marc Webb, the film’s director.

It’s an interesting approach – chasing the director of a film to produce a director’s cut, only weeks after it’s initial release.

I know  i felt like there was  alot missing  and i know  i would like to see a r rated directors cut and  more  extended  scenes!  where are you with all this?

Adam Driver as Han Solo’s Son in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

is-adam-driver-playing-han-solos-son-in-star-wars-episode-vii

When is was first announced that Girls actor Adam Driver had been cast in Star Wars: Episode VII, word on the street was he would be playing the main villainous Sith in the J.J. Abrams-directed film. It looks like there’s a little bit more to it than that, though. According to a source for Jedi News, Driver will also be playing the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). Here are the details they offer in their report.

Possible SPOILERS ahead:

“Sounds like Adam Driver is NOT going to play a villain…sort of. He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him.”

This is just a rumor at the moment, but a rumor that could turn out to be true. I think that Driver has the perfect look for a dark, Sith villain, but now that this rumor has been thrown out there, I can kind of see him playing the son of Han and Leia as well.

It is exciting to see this all come together what  are your  thoughts to the whole universe just suddenly expanding and  ideas  coming around?

marvels-new-series-agent-carter-has-a-poster

In another attempt to keep the success ball rolling, Marvel has announced that they are going to make a spin-off of Captain America called Marvel’s Agent Carter. They’ve already released a teaser poster for the show that you can check out above. Here’s the synopsis:

“Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring Captain America’s Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.” Starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, “Marvel’s Agent Carter” is executive produced by Christopher Markus, Steve McFeely, Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Jeph Loeb.

I am not so sure about this i am starting to wonder if marvel is starting to stretch their resources too thin.  Time will tell!  I  didnt much like  agents of shield when it first aired! what are your thoughts?

Wedge Antilles actor rejected ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ role

https://i1.wp.com/talkbacker.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/star_wars-Wedge_Antilles_1.jpg?resize=584%2C305

One of Star Wars‘ best pilots won’t be returning in Episode VII. Denis Lawson, who played Rebel ace Wedge Antilles in the original trilogy, has confirmed that he turned down the chance to return in the upcoming Star Wars sequel. Speaking at a screening of his new movie, The Machine, Lawson said “they asked me but it just would have bored me.”

Wedge — not to be confused with the Captain Antilles strangled by Darth Vader minutes into Episode IV — appeared as a hotshot pilot in all three original movies. While his part was minor, Wedge notably helped save Luke Skywalker during his attack on the first Death Star, survived the battle of Hoth, and contributed to the destruction of the second by flying into its core alongside Lando Calrissian. According to Badass Digest, Lawson suggested he might have returned if the role was increased in scope, but ultimately rejected the offer.

Wedge Antilles survived all three original movies

While his screentime in the original trilogy was limited, the Corellian ace found a greater role in Star Wars‘ Expanded Universe. Wedge, lest we forget as 30 years of Star Wars lore is whitewashed, was front and center in almost all of that far-off galaxy’s major post-Return of the Jedi tribulations. He commanded elite Rogue and Wraith Squadrons, helped Death Star engineer Qwi Xux regain her memory, solved the bacta crisis, played an important role in beating back the Yuuzhan Vong menace, and fought for Corellia for a time against the increasingly authoritarian Galactic Alliance.

While we likely won’t see an on-screen Wedge worthy of his Expanded Universe exploits, it’s not yet clear whether in Lawson’s absence, the role will be recast. For the sake of Episode VII‘s new republic, or if only to see a fan favorite back on the big screen, we can hope it is.

I know i would of liked to seen wedge back it  just  give the  feel it needs to be.  but  for him to say it would  bore him is  ridiculous  he  should of been honored to be asked back into the series!  what are your thoughts?

Harry Potter Spinoff Movie FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, a release date

release-date-for-harry-potter-spinoff-movie-fantastic-beasts-and-where-to-find-them

Warner Bros. has set a release date for their Harry Potter spinoff film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. According to Exhibitor Relations, that date is November 18th, 2016.

The story takes place a number of years before the events of the Harry Potter books and films. It is loosely based on a book that J.K. Rowling wrote for charity. The film will tell an original story, and with it, Rowling will be making her screenwriting debut.

The book is a reproduction of a textbook owned by Harry Potter that was mentioned in the first Potter novel. The fictional textbook was written by a fictional magizoologist character named Newt Scamander. For those of you who aren’t up to speed on the Potter universe, Magizoology is the study of magical creatures.

It was previously reported that this story will be turned into a trilogy of films. While talking about the story Rowling said,

“Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world. The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, 70 years before Harry’s gets underway.”

What are your thoughts?  I am not a huge harry potter fan  but i know there are many that are!

Kick-Ass 3?

aaron-taylor-johnson-isnt-ruling-out-kick-ass-3

During a press conference for Godzilla, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson was asked about possibly returning for a third Kick-Ass film. He may not be contractually obligated to star in Kick-Ass 3, but he’s open to it if it happens. His co-star Bryan Cranston also chimed in and jokes about wanting to see Kick-Ass VS. Godzilla, which is something I think we’d all love to see! Continue reading

Joe Quesada Offers Details on DAREDEVIL Series

In a recent interview with CBR, Marvel’s chief creative officer Joe Quesada talked a little bit about their upcoming Daredevil Netflix series. The series is currently being developed by Cabin in the Woods director and co-writer Drew Goddard. This will be the first of the four new series that are being made, and I can’t wait to see what Marvel does with this character. One of the coolest things he had to say is that the show is being planned as essentially one 13 hour long movie!

Here’s the part of the Q&A where Quesada discusses the Man Without Fear:

With the Netflix shows, we know a little bit about it at this point — the list of shows, that “Daredevil” is the first one going into production, and that Drew Goddard is heading that series up as showrunner. Have you been working closely with the writers on that one? What’s your level of involvement with “Daredevil”?

“I’ve been working very, very closely with the entire team on all levels of the show. I think everybody knows my relationship with the character of Daredevil, and how important the character is to me — not just on an emotional front, but on a professional front. How DD brought me back here to Marvel, and how instrumental he was to even me being in this particular position I’m in today. I’m very involved with the show, as well as everything that we’re doing with the Netflix shows. I’m incredibly excited, plus the dark and gritty noir world of DD and the Netflix characters, it’s kind of where I live so it naturally attracts me to begin with.”

It’s fair to say a lot of people weren’t satisfied with the last live-action “Daredevil.” How much is the goal to really get it right this time, and maybe erase some of the negative thoughts people had with the past live-action Daredevil?

“Let me be clear, we’re not going into this show with the idea of trying to erase the memory of anything that came before or really any preconceived notions whatsoever. We’re going into the show trying to create something that’s incredibly exciting, incredibly engaging, and will give our fans something that they love, something that’s unexpected, something that’s going to keep them coming back for more. That’s really, ultimately, the goal of this: How do we produce a “Daredevil” TV show on Netflix, that’s going to be viewed the way that people view content on Netflix, in a way that’s going to be compelling, feels unique, while bringing something that is not only true to the character, but providing something unexpected as well.”

Right now Marvel has both a show on a traditional network, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” and multiple Netflix series in the works. What do you see from the creative side as some of the advantages of the Netflix format, and the “everything all at once” rollout that their shows get?

“One of the advantages is really from the planning stage — obviously it’s much easier to work with a smaller number of episodes than it is with a larger number of episodes. We can sit there and look at 13 episodes and plan it out as a very large movie. It makes seeing the bigger picture a little bit easier. You can’t deny that there will be binge-viewing. You know that there are going to be some Marvel fans that when this show premieres, they are going to go on to Netflix, and they are going to sit there for 12 to 13-plus hours, and watch the entire thing all the way through… Even the way that you parse out information and reveals within the show can be different than you would on weekly TV. With weekly TV, you sit there and go, “The audience may not want to wait two or three weeks to get this particular bit of information.” Whereas with Netflix, we might be able to hold onto a particular piece of information, because they may just watch it two hours later.”

I am wondering what can be  done for this series and if it has what it takes to be a decent tv show!  Only time will tell I am hoping its going to be  good. What do you think? we want to know!

H.R. Giger Has Died at the Age of 74, alien artist!

On a more somber note, iconic artist H.R. Giger has passed away after suffering a fall.

THR reported that the man who designed the Xenomorphs in all of the Alien movies died in a hospital on Monday after suffering a fall in his museum. Here is what they had to say about him:

“Giger’s works, often showing macabre scenes of humans and machines fused into hellish hybrids, influenced a generation of movie directors and inspired an enduring fashion for ‘biomechanical’ tattoos.”

Giger’s work is amazing to look at; it has a very hard but beautiful quality to it. His classic monochromatic, futuristic style is loved by fans all over the world and has inspired people to emulate his work via tattoos. This, to Giger, was the highest form of flattery. This is what he had to say in an interview with Seconds magazine in 1994 about his work:

“The greatest compliment is when people get tattooed with my work, whether it’s done well or not. To wear something like that your whole life is the largest compliment someone can pay to you as an artist.”

He was a true artist till the very end!  Everyone loved the  work he was able to do!  Will you miss what he did and  could do!  What are your thoughts?

Roberto Orci confirmed to Direct Star Trek 3

Roberto-Orci star trek 3

After weeks of rumblings that Roberto Orci was the frontrunner, sources have told Variety that Skydance and Paramount have indeed tapped Orci to direct Paramount and Skydance’s “Star Trek 3.”

Orci is currently writing the story with J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay and had been campaigning to replace J.J. Abrams as director for some time. Abrams is busy with directing the next installment of the “Star Wars” franchise and will only be producing this pic.

Par, Skydance and his reps had no comment.

Plot details are unknown, but cast members including Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are expected to return. Abrams will produce along with his producing partner Bryan Burke and Skydance’s David Ellison.

The news comes after Orci and longtime writing partner Alex Kurtzman decided to go their separate ways on future filmmaking endeavors (although their TV production company is staying intact). Sources had told Variety that both were looking to direct more pics and that going solo would be in the best interest of both parties.

what are your thoughts to this man directing the next star trek film?
