Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron  Hot Toys collectibles series continues! In the epic blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron  Thor, along with the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, battle hard against the menacing A.I., Ultron, in order to save mankind from the terrifying fate of human extinction!

Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys are delighted to present the new Thor Sixth Scale Collectible Figure from Avengers: Age of Ultron! The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the movie and features a newly developed head sculpt, highly detailed costume, an LED light-up Mjolnir and an authentic metal Mjolnir with lightning effect accessory, as well as a specially designed figure base.

A specially designed 3D augmented reality (AR) application has been developed and will soon be available on iOS and Android devices to interact with the Thor collectible figure! With the use of the app, fans can explore and take a photo of the striking 3D scene where a number of Ultron Prime’s dangerous sentries are swarming to attack the Asgardian prince!

The rivalry of Marvel vs. DC has meant big business for both companies in their long histories, and that rivalry has continued into the modern film landscape. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about media coverage that makes it appear as if the two companies are battling it out, and for the most part, I’m sympathetic to those claims: I think some of these stories can get over-hyped and recontextualized to fit into that established narrative, just to fuel the fire of the rivalry. Tom Holland is The New SPIDER-MAN, and Jon Watts Will Direct Solo Film

Marvel and Sony have finally decided on the young actor who will play Spider-Man in the MCU. According to Variety, they’ve cast Tom Holland in the heroic role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Set to Appear in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

We’ve heard rumors about Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse, but the actor has given no indication that he will actually be in the movie. Now, thanks to a custom leather goods company named Kika NY, we’ve learned that Wolverine will in fact be in the film. They revealed some sketches for a special duffle backpack that they were commissioned to make for Jackman, and said,

We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal. We started sketching – The bag will be ready next week- we will keep you posted!

There’s no information on how big of a part he will play in the story. It makes sense that he would appear in film, especially after that ending for X-Men: Days of Future Past. It left his fate completely up in the air. I assume they will just continue that plot line for his character. In the comics, Apocalypse transforms powerful mutants into his Four Horsemen that include War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. At one point, he turned Wolverine into Death. Who knows if they’ll take the story in that direction. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
