Everyone that worked on Avengers: Infinity War is hard at work doing the press tour and dealing with interview questions while avoiding giving spoilers. That being said, we will be getting into some spoilers now, so look away if you haven’t seen the film yet.
I think this goes without saying due to the title of this article, but spoilers are coming.
Who else was blown away by the end of Avengers: Infinity War? From the sudden fading of many favorite superheroes to the dramatic and very sad end to Peter Parker, it was a crazy ending. I am sure many of you are sitting there complaining about how we know everyone who vanished will be brought back somehow and therefore the gravity of the situation was lessened, let’s remember there’s another movie that is a continuation. If this movie taught me anything, it is that Marvel will surprise me, and I love it. I love how everyone was wrong about who was going to die, including me. That being said, what do the directors, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, have to say about that ending? In a recent interview with Variety, the Russo brothers talked about the need to make these superhumans vulnerable so that the audience can relate to them and Anthony goes on to say:
“Unless you have real stakes, you’re sort of limited in terms of the emotional impact a story can have on you. You have to go to very difficult places for the stakes to feel real, for the characters to feel like they have something to lose, for the audience to feel like they have something at risk. What we’re looking for in storytelling or art is emotional catharsis. And that’s not simply getting what you want. It’s getting an emotional experience that makes you feel and respond to it and energizes you on some level.”
If you’re a big Marvel fan, you may recognize the name, Jim Starlin. For those that don’t, he’s the one who created the Mad Titan Thanos back in 1973. Thanos is the big bad guy in Avengers: Infinity War and I think Josh Brolin knocks it out of the park. I’m just a writer for a geek site though. What does Starlin think of the portrayal? He revealed this much on Facebook:
“The Avengers the Infinity War! I really have to watch what I say here, so as to not spoil the many surprises this film holds (even for me). So let me stick with generalities, with a few specifics tossed in at the end, concerning Josh Brolin. Visually spectacular, as are all the Marvel movies. But this film hits emotional depths few of the others have even come close to, yet humor takes center stage at all the rights moments.

Hot Toys has unleashed their Avengers: Infinity War collectible action figure and this thing is big! He stands so much taller than the other Avengers Hot Toys action figures! On top of that, as you can see, he has all of the Infinity Stones! If this is any indication of what happens in the film, the MCU and most of the characters that fill it are screwed. As you know, once the infinity gauntlet is locked and loaded with the stones, all it will take is a snap of his fingers to destroy half of the universe.
This latest figure is awesome and I would love to get my hands on one! It’s probably not going to be cheap, though.

Here it is! Hot Toys has revealed their 1/6th scale collectible action figure for Captain America from Avengers: Infinity War. I actually own every version of Captain America that Hot Toys has made from each of the films that he has appeared in. So, it looks like I’ll have to drop some money on this bad boy to complete my collection. After all… Captain America could very well die in this movie. It’s just something that most fans are expecting to happen.
This new figure gives us a close-up and detailed look at Caps suit, which as you can tell has been through a lot. As you can see, it’s really worn out. It makes me wonder… how do superheroes like Captain America clean their suits!? Do they take the time to clean them? Do they take it to the dry cleaners? Do they never clean it and just let it soak in the stinky sweat of battle? I’ll be dwelling on this for awhile.
Hot Toys has finally pulled back the curtain on their Avengers: Infinity War Iron Spider 1/6th scale collectible action figure and it’s a must own for any hardcore Marvel toy collector! As you can see, the figure even includes his four extra arms, which we haven’t seen any footage of yet. It’s funny that Marvel has no problems with showing these extra arms in the toys and promo art, but they won’t show us any footage of Iron Spider with them in action. Regardless, we won’t have to wait much longer because the movie will be released in less than a week!
When Woody Harrelson was cast in Venom, there was speculation among fans that maybe he could end up playing Carnage in the film. Well, according to a new report from Bleeding Cool, he actually will be playing Carnage. The entertainment news site has been hit or miss with their movie scoop intel, so even though they say they can confirm it, we are going to treat it as a rumor for now.

It was recently reported that Fox pushed the release dates back for X-Men: Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants. We won’t be seeing these films released until 2019. Thanks to Collider, we now know the reason for the delay and that reason is because of some reshoots that need to happen.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix was originally scheduled to be released on November 2, 2018 and was moved to February 14, 2019. The New Mutants moved from February 2019 to August 2, 2019. This is the second time that the release date was pushed for that movie. It was originally set for an April 2018 release before being pushed to February.
In 2015 Marvel Comics brought an end to Fantastic Four, which was one of its longest continuous comic series ever. It was a big surprise, but it happened around the time when Fox was going to release that terrible Fantastic Four film. I heard rumors that the reason Marvel canceled the comic series was to stick it to Fox because they were going through some tense times. But regardless of what the reason was, Marvel brought it to an end.
Marvel Comics has now revealed that they are officially bringing Fantastic Four back in a new ongoing series! I guess now that Disney is buying Fox, they feel it’s okay to bring Marvel’s first family back together. If we ever do see a new Fantastic Four movie, it’s going to come from Marvel Studios next time. It only makes sense that they’d want a Fantastic Four comic to help in their marketing efforts.
The comic will be written by Dan Slott, with art by Sara Pichelli. The new Fantastic Four book will bring Reed and Sue back to Earth, reuniting the team for the first time since Secret Wars. Fantastic Four #1 launches this August.
