A few months ago, when the fate of James Wan’s Fast & Furious 7 was still uncertain after the tragic death of star Paul Walker in November, it was rumored that Universal was looking to reach out to Walker’s brother Cody to help complete the film. Production restarted earlier this month, and today the filmmakers released a statement to fans announcing that Cody and Walker’s other brother Caleb will both be filling in for Paul to help complete some unfinished action scenes. Our heart goes out to the cast and crew and the Walker family as they finish this difficult task. I’m sure all Fast & Furious fans will appreciate everyone’s determination to honor and pay tribute to the late actor by completing this film. Here is the full release:

A Note to the Fans of FAST & FURIOUS

The FAST & FURIOUS saga is about family. The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans.

Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film.

We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.

We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

We are just under a year away from the release of FAST & FURIOUS 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.

We wanted to take a moment to speak to our fans directly and thank you for the love and support you always show us as we resume our work.

Fast & Furious 7 is scheduled for release on April 10, 2015.

What are your thoughts to this?  Should the  film just be shelved  or put out for  fans?

Avatar: Director James Cameron Talks Avatar Sequels, Shoots Down Rumors

Taking part in an AMA on Reddit, filmmaker James Cameron took a few minutes to discuss the scripts for the upcoming sequels to Avatar, which are currently in pre-production in New Zealand.

“The second, third and fourth films all go into production simultaneously,” he wrote. “They’re essentially all in preproduction now, because we are designing creatures, settings, and characters that span all three films. And we should be finished with all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks….The biggest pressure I feel right now is cutting out things – I love to get the film down to a length that is affordable. There hasn’t been a problem finding new and wonderful things to include in the movie.”

Cameron also shot down the rumor from September of last year that Arnold Schwarzenegger would appear as a villain in the film.

“As of right now, he and I have not discussed it, and I don’t see a role as the scripts are coming together that would be appropriate for him, so I would say probably not.”

The individual scripts for the “Avatar” sequels are being penned by a number of different writers along with Cameron including Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planets of the Apes) and Shane Salerno (Savages, Salinger) ?. The release of the first follow-up will be released in December 2016, with the second to follow in December 2017, and the third a year later. Actors Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Stephen Lang are all set to reprise their roles from the first film.

Afre you excited to hear about this news?  We want to know!

Guardians of the Galaxy: James Gunn Says movie is ‘Definitely Connected to Avengers 3?

https://i1.wp.com/cdn3-www.superherohype.com/assets/uploads/2014/04/thanosheader.png?resize=477%2C247

This summer will see the cinematic debut of one of the strangest collections of characters that Marvel Studios has assembled, the Guardians of the Galaxy. Though the group will no doubt get up to some heroic deeds in the film, actress Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora in the film, says they’re not 100% heroes.

”We’re the Sex Pistols,” Saldana told EW. ”We’re the renegades. We’ll come in drunk, we’ll save the day, but check your wallet — we might have taken it.”

The film is shaping up to be unlike anything else Marvel Studios has released before, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be highly connected to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the latest issue of EW, director James Gunn revealed a huge connection by saying: “We’re definitely connected to ‘Avengers 3.'”

That connection is more than likely the Mad Titan himself, Thanos, who appeared in the mid-credit scene for 2012’s The Avengers, and though he has yet to be confirmed for the August 1 release, his presence has been hinted at previously. Who would you like to see play Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Sound off below!

The penultimate entry in “Phase Two” of Marvel Studios’ ongoing cinematic universe, Guardians of the Galaxy is written and directed by Gunn and features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, Karen Gillan, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Gregg Henry, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker and Vin Diesel.

I am very excited to see where this is going.  What are your thoughts?https://i2.wp.com/cdn3-www.superherohype.com/assets/uploads/gallery/guardians_of_the_galaxy_7929/1613942_10152334929469570_284632694886380273_n.jpg?resize=504%2C291

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE reboot!

Sony’s Masters of the Universe remake is getting a rewrite. Jeff Wadlow, writer and director of Kick-Ass 2, has been brought on board to do a rewrite on the script based on the ‘80s animated series, which was awesome. Kick-Ass 2 was not so awesome, so I’m not sure how to take this news.

The most recent draft of the script was written by Terry Rossio, who wrote the script for The Lone Ranger. Oy. My hopes aren’t high for this one. No director is attached to the project yet, so maybe they’ll get someone who has the power to make a kickass movie.  Via: Variety
I know i was pretty disappointed int he first film  What are your thoughts of making this back into a movie?

THE 5th WAVE: Chloe Moretz Joins Sci-Fi Movie

https://i2.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53481904e4b0bb0f73faa275/1397233934112/chloe_moretz_kick_ass_2_2013-wide.jpg?resize=343%2C219

Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz has been cast in the lead role of Sony Pictures’ big screen adaptation of Rick Yancey‘s young adult sci-fi novel, The 5th Wave.

The movie is set to be directed by J Blakeson (The Disappearance of Alice Creed), and the script was written by Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich).

Moretz will play a character named Cassie Sullivan, “who survives four waves of deadly attacks against the Earth’s population. On the run to save her younger brother, 16-year-old Cassie meets a mysterious young man who may become her final hope.”

Here’s a more detailed description from the book:

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother–or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

Sounds like its  going to be a  great movie!  Moretz is  a great actress.   should be  interesting what  do you think?

The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Paul Bettany

https://i0.wp.com/cdn3-www.superherohype.com/assets/uploads/2014/04/vision-header.jpg?resize=515%2C253It was a shocker back in February when it was revealed that actor Paul Bettany would be going from the voice in Iron Man’s helmet, J.A.R.V.I.S., to a full fledged physical role as The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron. On Friday night, Bettany appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and the conversation eventually turned to his role in the upcoming film, but as expected Bettany couldn’t divulge too much information, in particular about what The Vision’s powers will be in the upcoming film.

“Oh I can do all sorts of things, but I’m not allowed to really talk about them and what we’re going to do because there might be a Marvel agent in the room who will actually wrestle me to the ground and fire me…It’s very exciting for me, but everything is a double edged sword, right? Because I was playing J.A.R.V.I.S. for years and my job was i would turn up at a recording studio for 45 minutes, do all my stuff, and then they would give ma huge bag of cash and then I’d go home. Now it turns out they’ve found me out and they want me to actually do something!”

In the source material, Vision has a number of super powers including superhuman reflexes, superhuman stamina, energy manipulation, audio/visual/hologram manipulation, and flight, just to name a few. Which of these powers will be on display in the upcoming sequel remains to be seen, but which ones are you hoping to see on the big screen?

Currently in production, the film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Thomas Kretschmann, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and James Spader. Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.

What are your thoughts on this it seems very cool, i cant wait to see what they do with this

BLADE RUNNER 2: Harrison Ford Is Curious and Excited!

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/534b1cf0e4b022b8c637ad61/1397431538511/harrison-ford-is-curious-and-excited-about-blade-runner-2?format=750w

Finally the sequel is moving forward, and there’s a good chance that it will eventually happen. During an “Ask Me Anything” Q&A on RedditHarrison Ford was asked how he felt about a sequel to Ridley Scott‘s classic sci-fi noir thriller. This was his response:

“I’m quite curious and excited about seeing a new script for Blade Runner if in fact the opportunity would exist to do another, if it’s a good script I would be very anxious to work with Ridley Scott again, he’s a very talented and passionate filmmaker. And I think it would be very interesting to revisit the character.”

The actor then went on to reveal the first Blade Runner movie was the most difficult movie that he’s ever worked on, saying,

“The set for Blade Runner was maybe the hardest set I’ve ever worked on because I think we worked 50 nights in a row, and it was always raining.”

I was a fan of the first one and i would like tos ee a second one done!  What are your thoughts?

Black Spider-Man and Venom Costumes for SPIDER-MAN 3 that went unused

Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man 3 didn’t end up as awesome as we all hoped. I know different costume designs couldn’t have saved the movie, but it is cool to see a couple of alternate costume designs that could have been. I’ve included a couple of photos featuring an unused test costume for Venom created by Frontline Design Inc. This costume comes from the same guys that created the new Superman costume in Man of Steel. I don’t really care for any of the Venom designs that were created for the movie. That villain should have been so much more badass. Hopefully we get to see that in the new movie being developed.

Then, directly below, you’ll find a rejected black costume for Spider-Man. The photo features Sam Raimi and the costume designer testing out a couple of different Spider-Man logos that they could possibly use with the costume. It’s very different than what we ended up seeing in the film. So why didn’t they go with this costu

me design? According to a video from SevenWebHeads that I’ve embed below…

“The producers didn’t want use it because they felt the latex made Spidey look like he was in a porno.”

What are your  thoughts on these unused costumes? I think the  black spider-man suit looked  sweet!http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/534b3601e4b092d7f2cbeeb9/1397437969558/unused-black-spider-man-and-venom-costumes-for-spider-man-31?format=500whttp://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/534b361fe4b0d9388241e40a/1397438020878/unused-black-spider-man-and-venom-costumes-for-spider-man-32?format=750w

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, Cumberbatch Says He Won’t Be in it!

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/534bfc21e4b0bccee3099cae/1397488674374/?format=750w

There has been long rumored that Benedict Cumberbatch would be playing a villain in J.J. AbramsStar Wars: Episode VII. There was a time when the actor was coy about it, but when he was asked about it in a recent interview with The Iris, he said that it’s not going to happen.

“I would’ve liked a part in JJ’s new Star Wars but it won’t happen sadly.”

At one point there was almost no doubt that the actor would be in the movie. Maybe he was going to be in the movie but things changed. I guess there’s still a chance that he’s just pulling our leg, but who knows at this point. The role would have been a Sith villain, which would supposedly be a major role that will continue throughout the whole new trilogy.

The casting for the movie is almost complete, and it has been rumored that most of the new cast are going to be lesser known actors, which I think is a good way to go with a movie like this. It would have been awesome to see Cumberbatch in a Star Wars movie, though.

As of right now it’s believed that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Harrison Ford will be back to reprise their roles. Then there are names like Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o and John Boyega who are believed to be a few of the projects fresh faces. The only character that has been officially confirmed by the studio so far is R2-D2.

Star Wars: Episode VII will be set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and the script was written by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan.

what are your thoughts of this actor not being included in the movie?
