Producer Ridley Scott is currently in the process of producing a Halo web-series for Bungie, and at E3 we learned that the title of the show will be Halo: Nightfall.

The project is part of Microsoft’s Master Chief Collection, which is an anniversary edition of previous Halo games. The collection and web-series are set to be released for Xbox One in November of this year.

The series is being directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Heroes, Under the Dome), and the live-action weekly series will center on the life of Master Chief. According to reports it will tie together the first four Halo games and also lay the narrative groundwork for Halo 5.

Steven Spielberg is also producing a separate Halo series that looks like it will end up on Showtime. I’m excited for both of these projects, and I’m confident that both of them will turn out awesome and be something that fans of the franchise will enjoy.

Hopefully we’ll get more information on what these series will be about soon!

I am excited about this so far what are your thoughts?

Daredevil Finds Its Kingpin in Vincent D’Onofrio

Marvel’s Daredevil Finds its Kingpin in Vincent D’Onofrio

Following last month’s announcement of Charlie Cox in the title role, Marvel has revealed that Vincent D’Onofrio will play Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin, in the upcoming “Daredevil” Netflix series.

The role previously played by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in the 2003 feature film, this iteration of the Kingpin is officially described as being “a powerful businessman whose interests in the future of Hell’s Kitchen will bring him into conflict with the blind attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil.”

“We’re incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ in such an integral role,” says Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero.”

“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is executive produced by series showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus,” “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer,” “Angel”) and Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods, “Lost,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” in addition to writing the first two episodes of “Marvel’s Daredevil”), along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”).

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

“Daredevil” is just one of four new shows that will debut on Netflix from Marvel Entertainment which also include “Iron Fist,” “Luke Cage,” “Jessica Jones,” and a mini-series event of “The Defenders” that brings them all together. Production is scheduled to begin on the series this summer with a target release in 2015.

Not to be left out of the E3 drama, DOOM 4 – or as it’s now known, “new DOOM game” – has gone and spawned itself a frightful teaser trailer. There’s footage of an icky bio-mechanical demon, plus the sound of a shotgun being cocked. That’s all I need,

You’ll hear more at QuakeCon 2014, which takes place across 17th-20th July in Dallas, Texas. The game has experienced severe development difficulties – it’ll need to make quite the impression to win over troubled fans. That next-gen-only DOOM beta could have a part to play, here. Access is included with the purchase of Wolfenstein: The New Order, remember.

E3: Grimlock Makes His Dino-Debut in a New Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Video

https://i0.wp.com/cdn3-www.superherohype.com/assets/uploads/2014/05/rise-of-the-dark-spark-header.jpg?w=584

Activision and Hasbro have debuted a new video for the upcoming game Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark and this time it focuses on the Dinobot Grimlock! Check it out in the player below, courtesy of GameStop.

Serving as a follow-up to both the upcoming “Transformers” live-action film and Activision’s Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron titles, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark jumps worlds and factions as it weaves the tale of the hunt for an ancient relic as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership – the Dark Spark. Players will be able to switch between the heroes of the noble Autobots and the nefarious Decepticons throughout the single-player campaign. Similar to High Moon Studios’ “Cybertron” entries in the highly-regarded series, gameplay features nimble, fast-paced running-and-gunning combat paired with traversal and vehicle action across open battlefields for large-scale, dynamic conflicts.

The game will feature over 40 playable characters and will launch on June 24 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC from developer Edge of Reality. A 3DS version is also planned from WayForward.

E3 2014 is in full swing and we’ve been seeing all kinds of video game awesomeness! Rocksteady is there showing off Batman: Arkham Knight, and they’ve released five minutes of gameplay footage showing us how freakin’ cool this game is going to be. It highlights the Batmobile’s battle mode, and this thing kicks so much ass. The Batmobile that they came up with for this game is incredible. Here’s the short description that came along with the video:

“Scarecrow has returned to unite the Rogues Gallery and has enlisted the Arkham Knight and his immense military force to bring all-out War to Gotham City and destroy the Batman once and for all. The Dark Knight must utilize the Batmobile’s newly-revealed Battle Mode, as well as his full arsenal of abilities, to protect his city from complete destruction.”

This is the fourth and last game in the Batman: Arkham series. Kevin Conroy once again reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and it’s scheduled to be released worldwide in 2015.

Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer won’t have Armor Abilities

https://i2.wp.com/candlelight-studios.com/d-pad/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/halo.jpg?resize=572%2C431Were/are you keen on Halo 4’s Armor Abilities? Comprising a range of active and passive buffs such as the ability to see through walls or conjure a shield, they’re among the things that most obviously set the game apart from predecessors. Many fans weren’t amused, styling this the “Call of Dutification” of Halo. Good news, detractors – according to 343’s design director Bradford Welch, there’s none of that sort of thing in Halo 5: Guardians for Xbox One.

“Arena means what you’d expect,” he said of a reference to “next generation arena multiplayer” in the below trailer for the game’s beta, which begins in December. “Competitive focus, level playing field, map control. Spartan abilities are player mechanics not loadout AAs.” These abilities are “things that every player can do inherently with their Spartan,” Welch added, when pestered by Twitter followers.

Beyond that, pretty much all we know about Halo 5’s multiplayer is that it runs at 60 frames a second on dedicated servers, and includes a number of returning weapons. Catch brief glimpses of the arsenal in the video. I’m a little saddened by the loss of Armor Abilities, personally – I quite liked how they allowed you to distinguish playstyles. Still, there are always map item and weapon drops, I suppose.

Trailer for DUMB AND DUMBER TO

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/5397e10ce4b067f590135a83/1402462477347/?format=750wThe first full trailer has been released, and it just seems great. It has alot of  funny moments, but it just feels like that classic Harry and Lloyd to me. Maybe it’s just the way the trailer was cut, I hope that  not all the funny moments are in the  trailers.  but i am going to see the  film  it looks like alot of fun!

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their classic roles, and the story takes place 20 years after their epic road trip to Aspen Colorado. Their new adventure takes them on a trip to find Harry’s illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant. The comedy will be released in theaters on November 14th! Do you think it looks like it will be funny?
