7 New Photos from MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53ab3eb1e4b0ecfb5076e244/1403731634735/7-new-photos-mad-max-fury-road?format=500w

George Miller‘s Mad Max: Fury Road looks like it’s going to be amazingly insane! We’ve got seven new photos from the film thanks to EW, and I absolutely love the visuals that I’m seeing in them! They include images of Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult as the badass characters they play in the film. With the release of these photos, we’ll hopefully get to see a trailer soon! The director had this to say about the story in a brief statement:

“I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes. In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed.”

Mad Max: Fury Road is set to be unleashed in theaters on May 15th, 2015! If you want to read some early reactions to the film, click here. I included a synopsis for the film below:

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.

And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.https://i2.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/53ab40b4e4b0a767ff9ddf3f/53ab40b5e4b0e63cc7c43eba/1403732160504/mad_max_2.jpg?w=584mad_max_5.jpgmad_max_3.jpgmad_max_4.jpgmad_max_7.jpgmad_max_1.jpg

Nathan Fillion’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Cameo Revealed!

https://i1.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53a9b578e4b0d248fa47797f/1403630980504/nathan_fillion-01.jpg?w=584

Director James Gunn recently confirmed that Nathan Fillion would be making a small cameo in Marvel’s sci-fi space adventure Guardians of the Galaxy. Thanks to Schmoes Know, we might know what that cameo will be. If you don’t want it spoiled for you then don’t read any further.

A lot of people thought that he would be playing Nova in the movie, but that isn’t the case at all. In fact, Gunn himself denied it saying that the rumors have been “greatly (and entirely) exaggerated.” The character he might be playing though is still really cool! Here’s what the site reports:

“According our very reliable source with intimate knowledge of this and the production has spoken exclusively to us about this and we here at Schmoes Know have our answer:

“Nathan Fillion will be voicing the part of Cosmo, the psychic Russian cosmonaut dog that has appeared in the Guardians of the Galaxy comics.”

How freakin’ awesome is that?! For those of you who are not familiar with the character, here’s some info:

Cosmo is a telepathic Russian dog in the Marvel Comics universe. The character was created by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, first appeared in Nova vol. 4 #7. Within the context of the stories, Cosmo is the security chief of the spacestation Knowhere and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.https://i1.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53a9b45ce4b051bcf3ffa9d6/1403630686737/GuardiansofTheGalaxy2-cosmoRocket.jpg?w=584

This is perfect for Fillion, and it’s great to see that this character will be included in the film. Since it’s a voice role it also keeps Fillion open for actually appearing in any future Marvel movie installments, which I’m convinced will one day happen. In the mean time, I’ll be ecstatically happy that he’ll be providing the voice of Cosmo, the telepathic Russian dog.

what are your thoughts on this?  we want to know!

Shane Black Confirms That His Predator Will be a Sequel

https://i2.wp.com/www.comingsoon.net/nextraimages/predator-cover-bar-640.jpg?w=584

Big news broke yesterday with the reveal that Shane Black has plans to “reboot” 20th Century Fox’s Predator. Today, the Iron Man 3 writer and director (not to mention star of the John McTiernan original) tells Collider that his film does, indeed, tie to franchise continuity.

“Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” Black says, adding that he can, “…really get behind inventive sequels.”

Black will be directing the new film and writing the treatment, which will then be scripted in full by Fred Dekker (with whom Black worked on Monster Squad).

The 1987 original was directed by John McTiernan and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of a United States special forces team that comes under attack from an alien entity that prizes the thrill of the hunt above all else. It was followed by a direct sequel, Predator 2, in 1990 before crossing over with Fox’s Alien franchise for two additional sequels, Alien vs. Predator and AvP: Requiem. In 2010, Nimrod Antal helmed a reboot with a new feature, Predators.

John Davis is attached to produce with Matt Reilly overseeing for Fox and Ira Napoliello overseeing for Davis Entertainment.

I know i am a huge predator fan!  where are all of you on this?  would you like to see this series continue?

WARGAMES Remake has a New Writer and Director

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53aa3337e4b0ada1a700f1cf/1403663172222/wargames-remake-has-a-new-writer-and-director?format=750w

MGM is still planning on developing that remake of Matthew Broderick‘s 1983 classic WarGames. Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon was attached to develop it at one point, but he has since dropped out of the project. The studio is now in negotiations with Dean Israelite to direct the feature. They also are brining on Arash Amel (Grace of Monaco) to rewrite the screenplay, previously scripted by Noah Oppenheim. I’m not familiar with anything that Israelite has done, so I have no idea if he’s a solid choice or not. The studio obviously saw something in him.

The original film followed a young computer prodigy who hacks into a government system and accidentally initiates a computerized countdown to a nuclear weapons launch. All the while he thinks he’s just playing a game.

No one has been officially cast in the project yet, but according to reports the studio has been looking at both Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our Stars) and Tye Sheridan (Mud) as potential actors to take on the lead role.

I know i always enjoyed the movie,  I would like to see where they can take the remake!  Seems like every movie is being remade these days!  Is there a movie that can’t be remade?

Marvel Entertainment and Netflix have announced today that Elden Henson of “The Hunger Games” and “Mighty Ducks” franchises has joined the cast of “Daredevil” as Matt Murdock’s friend and law partner, Foggy Nelson!

“Elden plays one of the most important characters in the world of ‘Marvel’s Daredevil,’ and we’re thrilled to see Foggy Nelson brought to life by such an incredibly talented actor,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “He perfectly captures the heart and soul of this series, bringing an added resonance to Matt Murdock’s fight against the injustice in their great city.”

Henson joins a cast that already includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and Rosario Dawson in an unspecified role.

“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is executive produced by series showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus,” “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”) and Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”), who is writing the first two episodes of the series along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville”).

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Sylvester Stallone Coming Back for RAMBO 5

https://i0.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53a84a38e4b0dbf739da4693/1403537983718/Stallone-Rambo-Gun-Old-1.jpg?w=584

A few years ago Sylvester Stallone was developing a fifth Rambo movie called Rambo V: Savage Hunt, but the development of it was shut down in 2011. Since then, there hasn’t been much talk of a new Rambo movie. There was a TV series announced last year, but Stallone isn’t going to be a part of that.

Some information has now surfaced from Splendid Film that the production companies that are developing the TV series have bought the rights to the next film. They also say that Stallone will be coming back to reprise his role. A press release was posted, but it’s in a different language. This is what part of it translates to:

“With Rambo V Sylvester Stallone returns in his iconic role. This time he goes up against a Mexican cartel. Stallone, who has also written the screenplay, describes the new Rambo as his version of No Country for Old Men. Like the last film, Rambo V is produced by Avi Lerner (The Expendables 1-3)”

The movie Stallone wanted to make was going to be an adaptation of James Byron Huggins‘ novel Hunter. This was the synopsis:

John Rambo could track anyone – or anything – on earth. Now the military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultrasensitive instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north of the Artic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak bloody devastation.

It’s a job that Rambo and his 22-year-old hunting partner, Beau Brady, can’t turn down, but they and a team of highly-skilled special forces kill team discover that the prey is a terror beyond their wildest imagination – a half-human abomination created by a renegade agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man’s cunning, a predator’s savageness, and a prehistoric power that has transcended the ages. And even if Rambo and Beau survive its unrelenting hunger for human blood, they’ll still have to contront the grim reality that it may have grown immortal.

I wasnt crazy about the last 2 rambo movies i dont know if he can pull off another rambo.  What do you think?

If you’re headed to San Diego Comic-Con this year you better star lining up for Hall H now because Warner Bros. is going to be showing off the first footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this year! I figured there was a solid chance that this would be the case, but the confirmation comes from El Mayimbe from Latino Review who tweeted out the following information:

HOT #SDCC2014 RUMOR! The DC/Warners panel will show a hot clip from BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. FIND SPOT @ HALL H line NOW! RT

He then followed that up with:

Tom Cruise to Cameo in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII?

https://i1.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53a899aee4b0b55670ac812d/1403558323930/tom-cruise-jj-abrams.jpg?w=584

It looks like there’s a chance that Tom Cruise could make a cameo appearance in J.J. AbramsStar Wars: Episode VII. The rumor originated from Mirror.co.uk, who says the actor was recently in London and that he’s met with Abrams and several other members of the production staff in regards to appearing in the continuing saga.

I have no idea if there’s any truth to this rumor or not, but it’s out there. You’ve got to remember that Cruise gave Abrams his big screen shot with Mission: Impossible III, which basically launched his filmmaking career. If Cruise wants to show make a brief appearance in the film, Abrams might just grant him that.

Not crazy about this,  but if abrams  thinks he can make a good addition then i say give it a shot!  As long as cruise is not jumping up and down on couches!
