In an age where celebrity Twitter feuds are considered legitimate news, it should come as a surprise to no one that MTV2 has decided to reanimate its popular stop-motion animated series, Celebrity Deathmatch, once again for these confusing modern times.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV2 has requested a pilot order for the animated comedy, a full eight years after its second revival that spanned from 2005 to 2007. Its original run began in 1998 and went until 2002, running 75 episodes. It’s fifth season drew 2.5 million viewers and was MTV2’s highest-rated season premiere ever.
