Ben Affleck Discusses How His Batman Is Different From Christian Bale’s
From what we’ve seen of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice so far, we know that it is going to be very different from anything that Christopher Nolan has done with Batman. It looks like Zack Snyder wanted to take his version of Batman in a completely different direction, and fans seem to really love the direction he has taken.
In the latest issue with Studio Ciné Live (via batman-news), there’s an interview with Ben Affleck, in which he discusses how his Batman is different from Christian Bale’s version of the hero. He also compares Jesse Eisenberg to Oscar-winner Heath Ledger. Continue reading
Frank Miller Will Write DARK KNIGHT IV and Wants a Carrie Kelley Spinoff
It looks like Dark Knight III: The Master Race won’t be the last story in the Frank Miller saga. In a recent interview, he revealed that he will also write Dark Knight IV.
The Master Race is being written by Brian Azzarello, but Miller says that the fourth chapter in the saga will come from his own hand. While talking to Newsarama Miller said:
“I thoroughly applaud what [Brian’s] doing. But now that he’s doing his, it’s now a four-part series, I’m doing the fourth.”
Miller went on to explain that he is aware of Azzarello’s story, and he told the site that he supported it. However, “he said that after he reads DK3 in full, he intends to create his own fourth chapter.” It’s this fourth chapter that will presumably close out the saga. Continue reading

Will the Solo Batman Movie Go Under the Red Hood?
Very little is known about the upcoming solo Batman movie, though we know Ben Affleck is co-writing the script with comic scribe Geoff Johns and is open to directing the feature. Unlike some other DC comics-based films, it still has no release date, but new details about Batman movie reveal it may be further along than expected and the seeds for the film are being planted in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
JoBlo reports that Warner Bros. is very eager to bring the anti-hero The Red Hood to the big screen, and are eyeing the former Robin-turned-killer as one of the film’s antagonists. Continue reading
Why The World Needs To See Batman In A Rated R Movie
Cinema has done a fine job presenting Batman in a way that is enjoyable for all audiences. West showed us the man with morals, Keaton showed us the hero, Kilmer showed us the bizarre, Clooney showed us everyone makes mistakes, and Bale showed us The Dark Knight in a real world. With each performance, a mainstream audience got a different feel for Batman, and each (well, most, anyway) succeeded in giving the world all sides of Batman…
…save one.
What happens when Batman doesn’t just “not save the day,” but allows for horrible things to happen? Sure, we saw Rachel Dawes blow up in The Dark Knight…but considering that was the work of The Joker, that was a fairly painless and quick death than what comic book readers have experienced. Mark Hamill Will Voice The Joker in THE KILLING JOKE Animated Film!
Last week we learned that Mark Hamill wanted to come back and voice the Joker in Warner Bros. Animation’s film adaptation of The Killing Joke. Collider has confirmed through inside sources that Hamill will indeed come back to bring the Joker back to life in one of his most sinister stories ever. It seriously wouldn’t make any sense to bring anyone else in to voice the Joker for The Killing Joke. It had to be Hamill; he is the Joker. Continue reading
