3002212-product-feature-740x448“They thought he was dead…but he survived.”

Following the release of Gladiator Hulk, Sideshow Collectibles presents the second installment from Marvel Comics’ celebrated World War Hulk series, the King Hulk Premium Format™ Figure.

Betrayed by those he once called allies, and exiled to the savage alien world of Sakaar, the fearsome Hulk smashed, bled, and conquered his way from slave to gladiator, and then to king. Crowned with a gleaming diadem, the mighty victor finally found peace in his kingdom, until a tragic turn of events brought Hulk’s world crashing down once again and set him on a new path of destruction.

Fueled by rage, and stronger than ever before, the volatile King Hulk is out for blood, girded for war in his gladiator attire and spiked armored gauntlet. Wielding a massive broadsword and deadly battle axe, the unstoppable World Breaker returns to seek vengeance and tear the Earth to shreds. Towering almost 30″ tall over the cracked and broken streets of New York City, he is the Green Scar, the Eye of Anger, the Hulk… and he has come home.

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the first trailer for Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig‘s new indie dramady The Skeleton Twins. The movie premiered at Sundance earlier this year, and I heard a lot of good things about it. The movie looks like a solid humorous and heartfelt story.

The story follows two estranged twins, Maggie and Milo, who feel that they’re at the end of their ropes. “An unexpected reunion forces them to confront why their lives went so wrong. As the twins reconnect, they realize the key to fixing their lives may just lie in repairing their relationship.”

The R-rated movie also stars Luke Wilson and Ty Burrell. It will get a limited theatrical release on September 19th.

Teaser for History Channel’s HOUDINI Miniseries with Adrien Brody

The History Channel has released the first promo teaser spot for their upcoming new miniseries Houdini, which is based on the life of the legendary magician. Adrien Brody plays the title role, and the spot shows the character in the middle of performing one of his classic suspenseful escape tricks.

The four hour long series will trace the arc of Houdini’s life from his desperate poverty to worldwide fame. The network has created some incredibly well made historical series like this in the past, and I imagine this one will be just as awesome. I love magic and the history behind it, so this is something that I’m extremely exited about. One thing is for sure… Houdini has never looked so muscular.

Here’s a synopsis that was provided:

Before David Blaine and David Copperfield, there was one man whose name was synonymous with being the master of illusion and escape – Harry Houdini. HOUDINI follows the man behind the magic as he finds fame, engages in espionage, battles spiritualists and encounters the greatest names of the era, from U.S. presidents to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Grigori Rasputin. The drama will chronicle the life of a man who can defy death through his stunts, his visions and his mastery of illusion.

The series is set to premiere on September 1st.

SiriusXM fires ‘Opie & Anthony’ shock jock

OPIE_ANTHONY

Anthony Cumia, one-half of the longtime Opie & Anthony radio duo, isn’t letting up. Even after SiriusXM fired him.

He tweeted Friday morning, “Sirius decided to cave and fire me. Welcome to bizarro world…”

And he said in another tweet, “After the weekend, I’ll have a better idea of things. F— Sirius.”

Cumia went on Twitter earlier this week to tell a story of a run-in he had with a black woman in Times Square. He called her “a pig” and an “animal” after he said she punched him in the face as he was trying to take a photo.

Now, Sirius XM has decided to “terminate its relationship” with Cumia.

The satellite radio company said in a statement:

“SiriusXM has terminated its relationship with Anthony Cumia of the Opie & Anthony channel. The decision was made, and Cumia informed, late Thursday, July 3, after careful consideration of his racially charged and hate-filled remarks on social media. Those remarks and postings are abhorrent to SiriusXM, and his behavior is wholly inconsistent with what SiriusXM represents.”

Stay tuned. It doesn’t seem to be the last we’ll hear of Anthony Cumia.

Sin City’s Devon Aoki Joins Arrow: Season 3 in Recurring Role

Aoki will play Tatsu Yamashiro in Season 3

The CW’s Arrow has added a recurring guest role for Season 3. Deadline reports that Devon Aoki (2 Fast 2 Furious, Sin City) will join the Warner Bros. television show as Tatsu Yamashiro. The character also has another name familiar to DC Comics fans: Katana. She’s described as “a Japanese martial arts expert who wields a deadly sword, a blade from which her codename Katana is derived.”

Deadline states that Yamashiro will play a role in Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) flashbacks. At the end of Season 2, he left the island and ended up on Hong Kong. Yamashiro will be one of his mentors and a “critical influence on his journey to eventually become The Arrow of present day.”
