Marvel has finally revealed the release date for its upcoming Daredevil series: it’s coming on April 10th. All 13 of the hour-long episodes from the first season of the Netflix-exclusive show will be available on that date, in every territory that the streaming service is available. The series will star Boardwalk Empire‘s Charlie Cox in the titular role, and is inspired by the “Man Without Fear” run of the comic book created by Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr. And as is becoming a Marvel tradition, the company hinted that you can expect to see a lot more in the way of teases between now and April.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller Talk About Writing THE LEGO MOVIE 2
The LEGO Movie was one of my favorite films of 2014, so I was thrilled to hear that writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller would be returning to write the upcoming sequel. In a new interview with Empire, the filmmakers – who are producing all of the upcoming LEGO movie projects – spoke about the full slate of brick-based movies ranging from Ninjago to The LEGO Batman Movie (starring Will Arnett) and offered some thoughts on what they’d like to do with the sequel to 2014’s smash hit.
On whether they’ll direct The LEGO Movie 2:
Miller: “I don’t think so. We’re writing the sequel right now and obviously producing all the other ones. There’s a challenge to make each one feel like its own thing. Part of the fun is finding people like Charlie [Bean], who’s doing the Ninjago movie, and Chris McKay who did so much on the first film. Each of them have their own distinct voices and ideas for tone. So it will each have its own personality and not just be, ‘Hey, remember that last movie? Here’s another one just like it!” So that’s been a big challenge but so far it’s been going better than I expected.”
Lord: “I think it’s nice for all these other films to have their own voice and that’s what’s neat about working with all these other filmmakers. They come up with solutions you wouldn’t think of. Watching Charlie Bean’s sequences for Ninjago is so gratifying because he’s able to make it play without any dialogue and has a really great visual style. It’s really nice and refreshing. I think it would get boring if we directed them all, quite honestly.”
The pair wasn’t originally going to write the sequel, so what changed?
Miller: “We thought we’d said everything we wanted to say about creativity and imagination and the inherent nature of Lego, and that left-brain/right-brain nature. So we were scared about trying to write something that felt like the next chapter and new ideas and not just a rehash.”
Lord: “We also worried we didn’t have enough time. Luckily, [Chris] McKay and Jared [Stern] and Michelle [Morgan] all worked on the movie a bit in our absence and really cracked the beginnings of a story and got us really excited; excited enough to write it. We should be writing right now. We’ve opened a Final Draft document and titled it. I mean, that’s really the hardest part. And we’ve chosen the formatting. That is all that’s happened so far. We’ve been outlining a bunch.”
Miller: “There are some really fun new themes that we didn’t explore in the first movie and got us really excited, so that it’s its own thing. With 22 Jump Street we did the whole making fun of yourself for just doing the same thing again. We can’t do that ever again. You can only go so far up your own rear end.”
And what can we expect to see in the story for The LEGO Movie 2?
Miller: “Well I don’t want to give you spoilers but we were really interested in what happens to that boy who’s in the meta story in the first movie when he’s four years older. When he’s an adolescent how does that change his point of view?

Charlie Sheen goes on Twitter rant against Kim Kardashian, tells her ‘go f yourself’
The 34-year-old reality starlet was reportedly the latest social media target of Sheen after she allegedly declined to sign an autograph for a young fan.
Kim Kardashian is feeling the social media wrath of Charlie Sheen.
The 34-year-old reality starlet is the latest reported target of scathing insults by the 49-year-old actor via Twitter, according to TMZ.
Sheen allegedly lashed out at the brunette beauty early Tuesday after finding out from a pal that Kardashian refused to sign an autograph for a 6-year-old girl.
“She cries about it every night before she goes to sleep,” Sheen reportedly said of the disappointed fan.
“You are lucky that ANYONE cares about your gross and giggly (sic) bag of funk you dare call an a–.
“Your public loves u. give something back or go f yourself,” he apparently continued in the since deleted series of tweets, the gossip site noted.
“My apologies to your hubby, great guy I’m sure, I hope his vision returns one day,” Sheen added of Kardashian’s husband Kanye West.

Sheen went off the handle in May 2013 when singer Rihanna declined to meet his then-fiancée, Brett Rossi.
“I sent a request over to her table to introduce my fiancé Scotty to her, as she is a huge fan,” he tweeted, calling Rossi by her nickname.
“Personally I couldn’t pick her out of a line-up at gunpoint.”
“Nice impression you left behind, Bday or not. Sorry we’re not KOOL enough to warrant a blessing from the Princess, or in this case the Village idiot,” Sheen said as he continued to bash the “Diamonds” singer.
Sheen later told TMZ that he didn’t intend to post the rant against Kardashian Tuesday, he meant to share it last month but apparently uploaded it by mistake.
The gossip site reported that Sheen still supports what he said and believes Kardashian did in fact snub a young fan.
“Zero gratitude, zero awareness, zero talent, a pox on the face of entertainment she is,” he said.
“The assistant and dooshy got in her car and pulled out and sped past the poor little 6-year-old without even a glance to the child,” Sheen allegedly explained.
A pal of Kardashian shut down the story, telling TMZ that North West’s mama “never says no to autographs, especially kids.”
Channing Tatum’s X-Men Spinoff to Hit Theaters in 2016
Twentieth Century Fox has set Channing Tatum’s X-Men spinoff “Gambit” for Oct. 7, 2016.
The Gambit character, who debuted in 1990, is an expert card-thrower and has the power to manipulate kinetic energy.
“Gambit,” written by Joshua Zetumer, will be Fox’s eighth X-Men movie. “X-Men: Apocalypse” debuts on May 27, 2016.
“Gambit” will face off against Warner Bros.’ “Live by Night” and Universal’s “Monster High.”
Fox also announced Monday that it had set or shifted dates for six other films — most notably, moving its next “Planet of the Apes” movie back a year to July 14, 2017.
The studio had originally planned to open its ninth “Planet of the Apes” on July 29, 2016. Instead, Fox has taken the “Fantastic Four” sequel off July 14, 2017, and moved it forward six weeks to June 2, 2017.
Fox successfully rebooted the “Apes” franchise in 2011 with “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” which grossed $482 million worldwide. This year’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” was even more successful with over $700 million.
Fox’s reboot of “Fantastic Four,” directed by Josh Trank and starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell, will open on Aug. 7.
“Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates,” a comedy to be directed by Jake Szymanski, has been set for July 29, 2016. The script by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien focuses on two brothers posting an online ad for wedding dates.
The studio dated two films for next year’s holiday season — vidgame adaptation “Assassin’s Creed,” starring Michael Fassbender with Justin Kurzel directing, has been dated for Dec. 21, 2016; and P.T. Barnum biopic “The Greatest Showman on Earth,” starring Hugh Jackman, will open Dec. 25, 2016.

Kanye West just released a new ballad, “Only One,” featuring Sir Paul McCartney, and his fans are already singing West’s praises for the vocal and writing collaboration. Unfortunately, it’s not for the reasons you might think. Instead of being impressed Kanye worked with a music legend, they applauded him for helping this “unknown” named Paul McCartney. Or is that Paul McCarthy?
For the majority of you about to read this, you are about to feel really old. And for the handful of you who have no idea who Paul McCartney is, please slap yourself because he’s one of The Beatles. You know, “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Help,” “Helter Skelter,” “Let it Be”… is any of this ringing a bell?
So Kanye West fans have been setting Twitter on fire with praise for West for giving such an “unknown” like Paul McCartney a shot at working with the musical half of Kimye. CurvedDaily now claims he was making a joke, but you decide.

Kanye West fan OvoJosh at least admitted not knowing who Paul McCartney was after this initial tweet.

Then he dug the hole even deeper with his follow-up post, despite being honest about his faux pas.
“Oh sh*t sorry! I didn’t know Paul McCartney or whatever was apart of The Beatles! Who knew people remembered bands from the 40’s!”
BaeAsHell was also serious when posting the following Tweet about the Kanye West and Paul McCartney collaboration.
“Who is this Paul McCartney???? He boutta blow up thanks to Kanye!!!”
Many Kanye fans not only didn’t recognize the name, but referred to McCartney as McCarthy, oblivious to his status as a former member of the legendary Beatles.

Benedict Cumberbatch Opens Up about DOCTOR STRANGE
I for one is not crazy ab out this movie! I don’t think strange is interesting enough to hold a stand alone film, but i think cumberbatch is an excelten choice for this role! During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cumberbatch opens up about playing the Sorcerer Supreme, and when he was asked if taking on this role was a risk, he said,
“I don’t think it’s a risk because of Marvel. Marvel is a stable of bringing out ordinary comic characters and turning them into screen-like gods. It’s very different, it’s an Astral Plane. There’s a huge new element to this Marvel universe that’s going to be employed in building this story and this character. But you know, I’m really excited about it, about working with Scott [Derrickson] whose imagination is endless, and all the boys and girls at Marvel who know what they’re doing. I’ve got a few things to get under my belt first. I’ve got to do that little stage production of Hamlet in the summer and the Christmas special of Sherlock, which we start shooting in about three days’ time – Whoops! Yeah, that’s there.”
For those of you not really familiar with the world of Strange, the Astral Plane is the second of seven levels of existence. The others include Physical, Causal, Akashic, Mental, Messianic, and Buddhaic planes. They all have connections to the physical world that only psychic beings can visit. It’s definitely going to be an interestingly awesome new element to explore in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor was then asked if he would be heading to the Himalayas to shoot the movie, and this was his reply:
“Ahh … you’ll have to wait and see. I’m not going to be eked out on any spoilers or reveals now. It’s quite a way off but I’m very excited about that spiritual dimension, obviously. It’s something that’s been a huge part of my life.”
Cumberbatch goes on to talk about meditation, his experience with monks in Darjeeling, and whether he would ever take on the mystical arts.
“I meditate a lot. That’s a huge tool in trying to calm myself, get away from the crazy circus of it all, have a focused mind as well as be a kinder, considerate person in the world. I took a lot of stuff away from my experience in Darjeeling, West Bengal, right at the Nepali border. It was Tibetan Buddhist monks in a converted Nepali house in India, with a view of Bhutan. It was a profoundly formative experience at a very young age. It’s something I’ve tried to keep in my life. It features already.”
Then, in case you’re wondering if the actor ever read the Doctor Strange comics growing up, he admits,
“Growing up, no. I didn’t read many comics at all. Asterix a bit. I think that was it. There weren’t many comics in my household — [in a self-mocking voice] ‘I’m so deprived.’ We didn’t have Marvel so much. But you can bet your bottom dollar I’m reading them now, avidly.”
The movie is part of the third phase of Marvel’s plan, and it’s scheduled to hit theaters on November 4th, 2016. It seems so far away, but at least we’ll have lots of other great Marvel film to watch between now and then.

Scarlett Johansson Officially Cast in GHOST IN THE SHELL
A couple of months ago we learned that Scarlett Johansson was offered the lead role in DreamWorks Pictures’ Ghost in the Shell. According to Variety, she has now officially signed on to star in the live-action adaptation of the classic anime.
The movie will be directed by Rupert Sanders and the story follows the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime.
Apparently producer Steven Spielberg is a huge fan of the property, so I hope he makes sure that the story told in the movie is something the other hardcore fans will be able to embrace. With Sanders on board, the film should look great visually. I just hope the creative team managed to nail down a great script.
A lot of fans seem unhappy with the fact that the studio was looking to cast a white woman in the role of a classic Japanese character, but it should also come as no surprise. This is what Hollywood does when adapting properties like this for American audiences.
When we originally reported on Johansson being offered the role, there was a lot of mixed reactions from fans. I’ve become a fan of her work over the years, and she has proven that she can kick some ass in film. Now that it’s all set in stone, I really hope that she can pull this off in the most awesome of ways.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Script Completed by Jeff Wadlow
The project has gone through several writers over the years. Before Wadlow came on board, G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu was attached to the project. Luckily for us, he’s not going to be around to ruin it. The film doesn’t have a director currently attached to it, but Wadlow is in contention with I Origins director Mike Cahill, who would be a very interesting choice. That guy seems to have a talent for filmmaking.
Wallow is also set to write the script for Fox’s X-Force movie, and that might prevent him from directing Masters of the Universe, so there’s a chance Cahill could get the gig, which I would be completely on board with!
I’m a huge fan of He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, and I would love to see an epic, live-action, feature film adaptation. With the right team of talent, this could be an insanely kick-ass film. If the script that Wadlow wrote is good, I hope the studio finally moves forward with it.
