Spectacular Trailer for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2!

So, Sony Pictures released the new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and holy crap, it’s awesome! I’m still not sure what to think about all of these villains being crammed into one movie, but this trailer makes the film look pretty freakin’ spectacular. I’m very, very impressed, and I’m incredibly excited to see the movie! Make sure to pay attention when watching the trailer, because there are lots of little things that you don’t want to miss. The Sinister Six is definitely teased.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The movie is set to be released on May 2nd, 2014!

Keanu Reeves Gives Update on BILL & TED 3

I truly hope that one day this third Bill & Ted movie gets made. We’ve been hearing about it for years, and both Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are excited to do it. There’s already a script ready to go! So what’s the hold up on Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure Part 3? According to Reeves it’s the budget, and in a recent interview with Access Hollywood he explains,

“It needs to be adapted because right now, it would cost $400 million to make.”

Whoa! $400 million is a lot of freakin’ money! That would be the most expensive movie ever made! Not sure why it would need a budget that big, that seems pretty ridiculous. Reeves goes on to give us a little insight on what the plot of the film would entail, saying,

“There’s a rift in the universe and there’s all sorts of creatures.”

So maybe they are planning on a more intergalactic adventure this time around? Or maybe some kind of dimensional traveling? They haven’t given up on the film yet. They are still trying to get it made. Reeves shares his feelings on the third movie, saying,

“That would be surreal. The script is funny and there’s a story to tell there, so there are efforts being made to try and continue that journey.”

Wonder Woman Cast in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN!

Warner Bros. and Director Zack Snyder have cast Fast and Furious actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman. She will join Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in the highly anticipated superhero film. It will be interesting to see how her character will fit in with these characters and the story.

Gadot definitely has a Wonder Woman type look and feel to her. She’s got the physique and that strong heroine jaw. I’m sure they will put her through a rigorous workout routine to prep her for the part, so she’ll end up looking a lot stronger by the time they start shooting. Snyder had this to say to Deadline about Gadot landing the role,

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”

This upcoming film has been feeling more like a Justice League movie than a Batman and Superman movie. It is obviously going to set the stage for a Justice League movie. I wonder how many other characters they plan on adding to the mix.

What do you think about Gadot taking on the role of Wonder Woman?

Why Wolverine and Not Kitty Will Travel in Time in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Via: CMB

In the comic book version of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Kitty Pryde was the character sent back in time to set things right for the future. In the movie adaptation, Wolverine is the one sent back in time to do it. In a recent interview with Total Film, writer Simon Kinberg explains why they made the change. Here’s what he said,

“We made the decision for a lot of reasons, some of them obvious and some of them more nuanced, to make it Wolverine who goes back in time. One reason is that he’s the protagonist of the franchise, and probably the most beloved character to a mass audience. Probably the bigger reason is that when we started thinking about the logistical realities of Kitty’s consciousness being sent back in time, to her younger self, as opposed to her physical body being sent back..it was impossible. Obviously in the book it’s Kitty..but you’re talking about an actress (Ellen Page) who, in the age of Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, would have been negative 20 years old. So we started thinking again, and the first reflex response to that was a character who doesn’t age. Wolverine is the only character who would looks the same in 1973 as he does in the future.”

That makes complete sense to me. I haven’t really seen anyone complain about the change, but just in case you were wondering why they did it… there it is!

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens in theaters on May 23rd, 2014. You can watch the trailer here if you want to remind you of the awesomeness that awaits.

Henry Cavill talks Ben Affleck as Batman in Man of Steel 2

In a few more months Zack Snyder will officially be starting production on Warner Bros’ Batman Vs. Superman film. There’s no solid story information on the film, but it’s looking like Henry Cavill‘s Superman will be facing off against Ben Affleck‘s Batman. In a recent interview with Total Film, Cavill talked about Affleck’s casting and explained why he thinks Affleck is good for the role.

“I’m sure he’ll be fantastic, above all else, and as a filmmaker he’s got his own style, you know, he’s not copying anyone else. And he’s also sort of been tenacious in his career. He’s had ups followed by downs and now he’s very up again and I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character, and it’s something I enjoy working with because jobs like this require a strength of character. They require a dedication to the work and a belief in oneself and Ben has that, clearly.”

I’m convinced that Affleck is going to be awesome as Batman, and I’m excited to see what he ends up doing with the character and how he makes it his own. The movie is set to be released on July 17th, 2015.

Full Scale Millennium Falcon Completed for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII!

I’ve heard rumors for quite awhile that J.J. Abrams was having a full 1:1 scale model of the Millennium Falcon built for Star Wars: Episode VII. Well, it’s looking like those rumors could actually be true! Yahoo is reporting that the ship has actually already been completed! Both inside and out!

“A full-scale 1:1 Millennium Falcon has been built as well as the interiors of the ship for filming. The Falcon is done – inside and out. The sets were built off-site, ready to move when Lucasfilm/Bad Robot were ready to move into Pinewood.”

Wow! That is a sight I would love to see! I imagine if they ended up spending all that time and money on building this thing, that they plan on using it in multiple films. It would be even more awesome if it were fully functional!

I love that they actually built the ship at full scale! I have to see this thing in real life before I die.
