It’s safe to say that we will never see the Marvel and DC cinematic universes collide on the big screen. But thanks to YouTuber Mr88668866, we have an idea of what that epicness could look like in his fan-made Avengers Vs. Justice League trailer. He uses a ton of footage from several different comic book films.  its a  tad  long  the  editing   could of been a little  better  but yet its still entertaining and  good job done!  Could you imagine  if this   could be  made though!

Rumor hit the net that Benedict Cumberbatch was going to be in J.J. Abrams‘ Star Wars: Episode VII. Apparently a lot of people of been sitting on this rumor for a while. Now that the cat is out of the bag, we have a few details on what role he will have in the film, thanks to Badass Digest.

According to the site, the actor is up for the role of a villain in the story, a Sith villain. It’s supposedly a major role that will continue throughout the whole new trilogy! As suspected, this is the reason the actor dropped out of Guillermo del Toro‘s Crimson Peak.

The casting obviously isn’t set in stone until an official announcement is made. There are representatives denying this story all over the place, but reps will deny and deny and deny until it’s true. The site reminds us all of the times Abrams and his reps were denying up and down that Khan was the villain in Star Trek… look how that turned out.

So if you didnt hear it yet the net has been buzzing all day about james spader playing the part of Ultron for the avengers 2 movie! I like james spader as a n actor I think the voice is a good pick i just hoep he wont have a an actual physical presence on screen. Not that i have anything against the man but it just wouldn’t work i cant imagine how he would work as a physical presence anyway. I assume thew whole part of ultron mwill be a cgi construction or an iron man armor type. I am excited to see where this goes! What are your thoughts?

For any of you readers who live in Detroit, Michigan, I’m sure you’re excited to hear that Zack Snyder‘s Batman Vs. Superman movie will be shooting in your neck of the woods! I might just have to take a vacation there while they’re filming! I’ll visit that Hardcore Pawn Shop while I’m at it and see if I can get into some trouble.

The Michigan Film Office announced today that the next DC Entertainment Super Hero movie from Warner Bros. Pictures has been approved for a film incentive from the state.

The film, from director Zack Snyder, brings together the two greatest Super Heroes of all time—Superman and Batman—for the first time on the big screen. Production on the new film is expected to begin in metro Detroit and throughout Michigan sometime in the first quarter of 2014. Snyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who is writing the screenplay. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing the film, which will star Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

“This project will further strengthen the reputation of Michigan and metro Detroit as a premier film destination,” said Margaret O’Riley, director of the Michigan Film Office. “We look forward to the spotlight shining on our incredibly talented workforce and the businesses that support our film industry here in Michigan.”

“Detroit is a great example of a quintessential American city, and I know it will make the perfect backdrop for our movie,” stated filmmaker Zack Snyder. “Detroit and the entire state of Michigan have been fantastic collaborators, and we are looking forward to working together on this film.”

The as-yet-untitled feature film was awarded an incentive of $35 million on $131 million of projected in-state expenditures. The production is expected to hire 406 Michigan workers, with a full time equivalent of 426 jobs, plus an additional 6,000 man/days of extra work. The production anticipates using approximately 500 local Michigan vendors during the course of production and spending $5.1 million on local hotels, as well as an additional $3.5 million in out-of-town cast and crew per diem payments that will be spent in the local economy but which fall outside of the incentive program.

The incentive funding for the project will be allocated out of the Fiscal Year 2014 budget. However, any funding remaining from the budget at the end of the current fiscal year will be directed to offset the full incentive amount for this project.

Revealed to the public last month at their booth at the San Diego Comic-Con, Kotobukiya has now officially announced that their upcoming ARTFX New 52 Deathstroke statue will come with the awesome name plate base. As you will notice from the original announcement last May, the statue stands firmly without any assistance but having the option to put it on this cool silver base is very cool.

Some more potential casting news has surfaced for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII. The news comes from Latino-Review who also reported that Emperor Palpatine was returning as a Force Ghost and that Ewan McGregor will be back as the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
They are now saying that Rachel Hurd-Wood has auditioned for the role of the daughter of Princess Leia and Han Solo. As of right now she’s the only one who has read for the part. The studio will obviously be looking at other actresses, so there’s a good chance she might not get the part, but it gives us an idea of the type of actresses they are looking for to fill this character’s shoes. Hurd-Wood played Wendy Darling in the 2003 film version of Peter Pan.

It’s also being reported that I Am Number Four and Magic Mike star Alex Pettyfer is up for a role in the film as well, but there are no details on whom he is going to play. I imagine it would be for Skywalker’s son as Ryan Gosling is not going to take on the role.
Like I said, there’s no confirmation, but Latino-Review is as solid a source as you can get when it comes to these things. Episode VII takes place thirty years after Return of the Jedi, and I can’t wait to see what the story for it will be!

While promoting his latest, Elysium, in India, star Matt Damon spoke with The Times of India about the recent news that his longtime friend Ben Affleck had been cast opposite Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman/Batman film.

“I think it will be great,” he says of Affleck as the caped crusader. “It will be terrific. I know there are a lot of people grousing on the internet. I just think it’s kind of funny. You know, he’s not playing King Lear. It’s Batman! Certainly within his skill set. If anybody saw ‘Argo’ or ‘The Town,’ and all the work he’s been doing lately, it’s way more nuanced and interesting and way more difficult than Batman! Batman just sits there with his cowl over his head and whispers in a kinda gruff voice at people. Bruce Wayne is the more challenging part of the role, and Ben will be great at that… But it’s safe to say I won’t be Robin.”

The movie-accurate collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Michael Shannon as General Zod in the movie which features a detailed head sculpt, interchangeable armored head, and meticulously constructed costume.

Could Todd McFarlane‘s long awaited Spawn movie with Jamie Foxx actually be moving forward?! McFarlane has been talking about this movie for years, and I was never sure it would happen because it never seemed like he made any progress on the script, but it sounds like that’s all about to change.

In a recent interview with The Gate, the comic artist gives an update in which he says that he wants to finish the script by the end of the year so it can start shooting in early 2014.

“The thing that keeps slowing it down is that the negotiation I’ve done is I write, produce, direct, but I’ve got to push a lot of my other endeavors off to the side so I can just get tunnel vision on it. Everybody at my company is now going, ‘We’ve got to find Todd the time to finish all this.’

“I think it’s a quick shoot. It’s not going to be a giant budget with a lot of special effects, it’s going to be more of a horror movie and a thriller movie, not a superhero one. I’ve got so many people phoning now that I’ve got to get it done. I’ve made some promises to people this year.

“We’ve had some big names […] come into the office and go, ‘We want to be in it. Sometimes they give me their pitch, I give them my pitch, I go, ‘We can get in it, this is how it goes,’ and so those types of actors–Academy Award guys–they’re going, ‘As soon as that scripts done, we’re going.’ So once we get this thing done, we’ll get it off the ground with some big names.”

He’s obviously talking about Jamie Foxx here, as Foxx has already confirmed that he has been wanting to do this move with McFarlane. I really hope this movie happens. The idea that McFarlane has for it sounds great. Here are the details that the comic book artist revealed in a previous interview. Read it over and tell us what you think!

I’ve always seen Spawn as being cut from a different cloth. It’s more of an urban, psychological story that’s being told. The answer I’ve given the last few years is that Spawn should be a small-budget movie in which the only thing that’s out of the ordinary is this thing that intellectually we know as Spawn and there would only be a handful of people that see it. I call it “it” because it never talks, it’s just a force of nature. Really, the story revolves around the people who are trying to decide: “Is the ghost alive? Is the shadow actually moving?” When I give that pitch, some of the executives scratch their heads. To a lot of people, a movie where the [title] character doesn’t talk doesn’t make any sense. There have been a few movies like that. Alien, you know, that guy didn’t say much. Or Jaws, the shark didn’t have too many speaking lines. Jaws is the closest example, the movie wasn’t about the shark, it’s about the people chasing the shark.

The idea I pitch is that the movie shouldn’t be about superheroes and laser beams — it’s about the id of people and the group of people caught up in the story and seeing things out of the corner of their eye. And when I give the pitch, I also say that I will write and direct it. There’s the nonnegotiable pieces of it. Then I have four suitors who say, “Yeah, cool, when do we start?” It means we’re not looking for a $20-million actor and we’re not looking for a big-budget extravaganza with lots of special effects.

The story that I pitch is very tight, very contained, but done right. I want a movie that gets people’s hearts racing. I want to scare them. Spawn, done right, is a creepy character. Instead of a superhero who just stands there. That’s why Batman was always the coolest of all the good guys. I never had one moment of affinity for [Superman]. He was a Boy Scout right from the moment he hit the ground. He was always polite and said the right thing. I never felt like he was in danger because he could spin planets on his finger. Batman is a guy who could die if you threw him out of a window. More than that, even though he had women throwing themselves at him and millions of dollars, all he wanted to do was to wait until 3 a.m. and the pitch of black and say, “time to put the costume on and scare the bad guys.” I relate way more to that guy. Spawn is Batman untethered, without the corporation behind it. Batman without limits, Batman who kills the Joker.

Spawn is a spectre, a sentinel, he’s that thing that nobody can get their hands on. As a kid growing up, the movies I was enamored with were the creepy movies where there’s only one creepy thing. Going back to the black-and-white films, way back, “Dracula” and “Frankenstein,” there was only one fantastical element. The title character. Dr. Frankenstein and Igor were just a madman and simpleton. They were still humans. When you start adding others to it, it loses me. The son of the Wolf Man or the bride of Frankenstein, even, it loses it. I likeThe Exorcist. I like Rosemary’s Baby. A little bit of the fantastic and then everything else was real. You went for the ride and felt like, “If there was a ghost in the house, this is what it would be like.”
