STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Working Title Revealed

http://cinespoilers.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/movie-star-wars-59190-ddd603.jpg?resize=504%2C321We still don’t know what the full title for Star Wars: Episode VII will be, but AICN has confirmed that the working title for the film is The Ancient Fear. Their source says that the title “refers to Max Von Sydow’s villain who makes Pazuzu look like a pussy!”

Personally, I love The Ancient Fear as a subtitle. If that ended up being the final title for the movie I would not be disappointed, but since this is only a working title, it could change at any time.

The same source that gave the site this news also informed them that the film would shoot in Abu Dhabi. They ran the title by “lots of people in JJ’s camp – including JJ,” but didn’t get any response until a separate source from the production contacted them and gave the exact same title.

Let’s see what happens with it. Now that the word is out there’s a greater chance that the final title will be something else.

New STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT Game Making An Appearance At E3

We now know that a new hope for Star Wars gaming will emerge during this year’s E3, thanks to an EA investors conference call held earlier today. During the call, CEO Andrew Wilson responded to a question about the Star Wars games it has in development and was open to discussing the new Battlefront title.

Battlefront [is] coming along very well,”  he stated before further emphasizing that the Frostbite 3 engine would help to “drive innovation with high quality.” While there’s still “lots of work to go,” EA isn’t hesitating to show the highly anticipated game during E3.

We don’t know if we’ll receive a playable demo or another teaser video as of now, but this is still some of the most refreshing news on the game since it was teased during last year’s EA press conference.

This year, EA’s press conference is scheduled for Monday, June 9, and it can’t come fast enough. I’m excited to see how the game will turn out, especially since all future Star Wars releases, including games, will be considered canon. With that said, I’m even more interested in seeing whether the game will include cameos from the new Star Wars trilogy cast members.

EVIL DEAD 2 Movie Update – Development is Slow but ARMY OF DARKNESS 2 is in the Works

The Sam Raimi-produced and Fede Alvarez-directed reboot of Evil Dead was awesomely nightmarish. I really enjoyed that movie, and I wasn’t sure if I would because I’m such a hardcore fan of the original. The reboot was a big hit though and fans of the original seemed to embrace it as well.

There was a lot of talk about a sequel after the reboot was released. It was something that everyone seemed excited about seeing, including the fans and the filmmakers. So why has nothing happened with it yet?! Because Raimi, Alvarez, and Bruce Campbell are in no rush to do it.

In a recently interview with Shock Till You Drop, Alvarez had this to say when asked about the sequel:

“Sam, Bruce, and Rob Tapert and I are good friends and we talk to one another often and we’re always coming up with new ideas and projects. Sam is teasing Army of Darkness 2, which he is working on the script with his brother, but at the same time Evil Dead 2 is something we definitely want to do at some point. … It’s always in the background and always in our heads. And every time I talk with Sam, we’re bouncing around ideas to find what would be the perfect sequel.”

At least Raimi is actively developing Army of Darkness 2! I wonder if they are looking to get that movie out before they proceed with an Evil Dead sequel. At one point there was a plan that Alvarez had in his head to combine the rebooted Evil Dead world with Rami’s original world, which would be amazing! It’s something that isn’t outside the realm of possibility. After all, Ash did make an appearance in the post-credits scene of the reboot.

Look, all I want is more Evil Dead movies and it sounds like it will eventually happen. We just have to be patient. Unfortunately for us geeks, we aren’t very patient people.

‘At Least Three’ Non-Saga Star Wars Films Also in the Works

‘At Least Three’ Solo Star Wars Films in the WorksAlthough it’s certainly no surprise given the immense popularity of the franchise, The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger confirmed today during a Q2 Fiscal 2014 Earnings Conference Call that “at least three” Star Wars films are in development beyond the new trilogy of “Saga” chapters. Up until now, only two of these standalone projects were confirmed.

Referred to in the past as “origin story film[s]”, these features are said to be targeting release dates that alternate with the Saga entries, suggesting that these three (presumably the first of many more) will arrive in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Although previous rumors have suggested that these adventures will follow Han Solo, Boba Fett and/or Yoda, nothing specific has as of yet been confirmed outside of Larry Kasdan and Simon Kinberg’s involvement on the screenplay side.

J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII, meanwhile, is set to star John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow in addition to original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. It will open in wide release on December 18, 2015.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Green Goblin Could Have Been THIS Good!

If, after watching Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, you thought you’d seen better goblin masks at Halloween, then this video is either going to make you really annoyed, or really, really relieved.

Webb’s Spidey franchise took the character in a decidedly different aesthetic direction from the original trilogy. For one thing, the new Green Goblin didn’t just wear green. Oh no. His skin was breaking out into what looked like the nastiest case of Goblin-itis this side of Middle-earth.

Well, now, Weta Workshop and Sony Imageworks have just released this behind-the-scenes video, detailing just how much better Dane DeHaan’s nefarious Green Goblin character could have looked.

The Goblin had so much potential and – despite Dane doing a great job – the design just wasn’t for me. Anyway, check out this slightly greener alternate Goblin look and see which one you prefer:

Final Trailer for Disney’s MALEFICENT

maleficent-5.jpg

“You know the tale, do you want to know the truth?”

Disney has released a new trailer for their fantasy epic Maleficent, and supposedly this is the final one. It features a bit of new footage that gives us a little tease of how a good fairy can go bad. It looks like she was in love once with someone… but who? I love that Disney is actually making a movie that centers on this classic and nightmarish villain. I’ve always thought that she was the darkest of all Disney characters, and it looks like they did a amazing job bringing her to life for the big screen. The movie opens up in theaters on May 30th.

what are your thoughts? are you going to see this?

POWER RANGERS Movie Reboot set up at Lionsgate

Lionsgate is teaming up with  Saban Brands to develop a new Power Rangers movie! The live-action reboot will be based on the original 1990s TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

According to THR “the new movie franchise will bring back a group of high school kids with superpowers they must harness and use as a team to save the world.”

Power Rangers was always fun to watch growing up. My brothers and I would watch it all the time. Even my young daughters watch it on Netflix every single night, which I think is pretty freakin’ cool. It’s great seeing them get into this kind of stuff. I’m sure they will be extremely excited to hear that a new movie is being made.

I think Power Rangers could be a huge hit as a movie franchise, and I’m surprised it took them this long to make it happen. Saban Brands head, Haim Sabansaid, had this to say in a statement:

“Lionsgate is the perfect home for elevating our Power Rangersbrand to the next level.”

Lionsgate CEO, Jon Feltheimer, added:

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Haim Saban and his team to maximize the potential of this immensely successful and universally recognized franchise.”

Of course they are thrilled! This franchise is going to make them a ridiculous amount of money. Power Rangers is still one of the top-rated and longest running boys series being produced. it will be great following the production news on this and seeing the team they assemble to bring it to life. Iwhat are your thoughts regarding this?  Excited?

Spring Breakers ‘The Second Coming’

https://i2.wp.com/images.moviepilot-cdn.com/spring-breakers-518e27fe36417-spring-breakers-forever-bitches-hold-on-tight-for-the-second-coming.jpeg?resize=570%2C321
Spring break is on again bitches! It’s time to ramp up your alcohol tolerance, dust off your pastel coloured beach wear and get ready to shake it at the most hedonistic party of your lives! At Cannes film festival, it was announced that Harmony Korine’s technicolor masterpiece is getting a sequel of sorts, and I for one am pumped. While the warning signs of a cheap sequel cash in were initially flashing, it seems like the second production could be just as mind blowing as the first. Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting) is on board to tackle the script with his sordid and acidic tongue and, to complete the dream team, Jonas Åkerlund will be directing. Åkerlund is well known for his high intensity madness in classics such as 2003’s Spun along with highly innovative and creative music videos like Lady GaGa’s Paparazzi. Considering Spring Breaker’s resemblance to a R&B video on acid, Åkerlund represents a great candidate to take the reigns from Korine! Spring Breakers: The Second Coming will (sadly) feature an all new cast of hot young things engaged in an epic battle with hardline Christian’s who are trying to quell their party fire and convert them. Wild Bunch co-chief Vincent Marvel explained that; It’s not a direct sequel although there are allusions to some of the characters in the original I make no secret of the fact that I am a huge fan of the original Spring Breakers and I have high hopes for the sequel. The thrill of seeing Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens go feral might have been removed, but the talented scriptwriter and the introduction of rabid fire and brimstone Christians mean that Spring Breakers: The Second Coming is overflowing with potential.

I was not a fan of the  first film  it was not  within my  taste  but if  might be  yours  since  there is going to be a second film!  What do u think?

Lou Ferrigno: Hulk solo film coming in Marvel phase 3!

Lou Ferrigno has become the man to play the Hulk in more adaptations than anybody else, having been the actor behind the Hulk TV show in the 1970’s as well as the voice behind Hulk in box office hit The Avengers. It was recently revealed that he would indeed be returning to voice the Hulk in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron which comes out almost exactly a year from now, but what he had to say on libe radio today will absolutely shock you:

Now because he saved the day they’re making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out.

Sometimes, statements are made by officials that sort of dance around the idea of potential future movies, giving subtle hints and references to the possibility of a film. This is not one of them. This is a solid statement. Though by the sounds of it, a Hulk solo film has sounded like a very distant movie, but with the voice actor behind the green machine saying it’s going to happen, he’d definitely be the one to know more than us!

To me, ‘because he saved the day’ sounds more like a direct reference to the storyline of Age of Ultron. Iron Man had his time to shine in the first film as the major hero, having redirected the nuclear bomb. Will Hulk be making the grand finale decision in the upcoming movie?

There’s also been talks about how Guardians of the Galaxy has potential easter eggs in it hinting at a Planet Hulk movie. Is this the direction Marvel Studios is going to take the Hulk in?

Avengers: Age of Ultron smashes into theaters on May 1st, 2015.
