Ben Affleck Talks About getting Batman

When
Warner Bros. Pictures announced on August 22 that Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in director Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman/Batman movie, the sequel to Man of Steel, there was a huge reaction from fans around the world. Now, Ben Affleck has talked about getting cast in the July 17, 2015 release for the first time on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

“It’s so awesome, man. I’m so excited. They called me up and said, ‘do you want to do this,’ and I’m like, ‘What? I’m not 25, man, are you sure about this? They said come down and we’ll show you what we’re doing, and it was incredible,” Affleck told Fallon. “Zack, the director, Zack Snyder is directing, he has this incredible take on it, that’s like… Obviously we can’t do what Chris [Nolan] and Christian [Bale] did, those movies are amazing, so he wants to do something different, but still in keeping with that, so I had to like, I thought this is a brilliant way to do this and I really know how to hook into this. And I said, ‘okay, I want to do it.’

“And the people from the studio were like, ‘we’re thrilled, we’re so excited… and listen, we want to talk to you, because people go through this process and it is a little bit, it can be trying. We want to show you some of the reactions that past cast members have got on the internet.’ So they sent me people who were in these movies that did a great job and people were like, ‘kiiilll him!’ I was like, you can’t say that before the movie comes out. It doesn’t matter what the people think then, it matters what they think when they see the movie. But I was like, ‘I’m a big boy. I can handle an Emmy snub, I can handle anything. They said, just don’t use the internet for a couple of days. I said, ‘I handle sh*t, you know what I mean. I’m very tough. So I saw the announcement, I look at the first comment and it’s like, ‘Ben Affleck is going to be Batman’ and the first person goes, ‘Noooooo!'”

Grant Gustin as The Flash, in new CW flash series!

Glee star Grant Gustin has been cast as The Flash in the upcoming series that the CW is developing. The Flash, a.k.a. Barry Allen, will be introduced in Arrow before the actual series takes off. He will appear in 3 episodes of Arrow. According to THR, it will be episodes eight, nine, and twenty, “the latter of which will serve as the backdoor pilot for a potential spinoff Flash series.”

The spin-off series is being developed by Arrow co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, as well as director David Nutter. Berlanti, Kreisberg, and DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns will write the script for the series.

These guys have all done a great job with Arrow, and I hope they can find a way to make Flash cool, because I personally think Flash is one of the lamest superheroes out there.

wolverine almost appeared in spider-man movie!

It’s long been a dream for fans that Marvel Studios films should at least attempt a cross over with Sony’s Spider-Man and Fox’s X-Men films. Even Hugh Jackman himself has spoken about wanting to appear on screen as Wolverine with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. The logistics of the studios letting this happen is a bit of a nightmare, but it did almost happen once apparently.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Jackman mentioned that he almost had a cameo in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, but an uncommon issue prevented it.

“In the first “Spider-Man” — Kevin Feige reminded me of this — we really tried to get me to come on and do something, whether it was a gag or just to walk through the shot or something. The problem was, we couldn’t find the suit. The suit was stuck in some thing. And so when they were in New York when I was there, we couldn’t get it together. So, you know, I actually asked some high level people about it. Because the optimist in me goes, “Why not? Why can’t we do it? You know, a split cast or whatever?” And someone reminded that the amount of money Fox paid compared to the amount of money Disney paid is very different [laughs]. So how you split that pie up? God knows. But in the comic books, what’s great about it is they’re just mashing together all the time — and it’s awesome. And people are like, “Yeah, well, let’s get this one with that!” And, you know, I still think, one day, there may be an ability to do it.”

Ant man movie coming 2015

There’s some exciting news for Marvel fans today as Walt Disney Pictures has moved the release of Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man from November 6, 2015 to July 31, 2015, a full four-months earlier.

The film, which is supposed to launch “Phase Three” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will follow Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s May 1, 2015 release.

Production is gearing up for Ant-Man with Wright directing from a script that he has co-written a script with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block).

The new date has the film opening opposite 20th Century Fox’s family fantasy Peregrine’s Home for Peculiars and just two weeks after Warner Bros. releases Zack Snyder’s still-untitled Batman/Superman film.

The Lone Ranger: 1/6th scale Tonto Collectible Figure

Eccentric roles are Johnny Depp’s specialty. In Disney’s The Lone Ranger, Johnny Depp has given an interesting performance as the peculiar Native American Tonto. Despite their initial differences, Tonto has partnered up with his “Kemo Sabe”, the Lone Ranger, and rode together in an adventure to bring justice in the Old West.

The movie-accurate Tonto Collectible Figure is specially crafted based on the image of Johnny Depp as Tonto in the movie which features a detailed head sculpt with face paint, real fabric hair, weapons and a number of finely-made tribal accessories.1239767_10151592869782344_1053647477_n 1239639_10151592869792344_251021297_n 1233406_10151592869432344_230607029_n 1176142_10151592870102344_1761822317_n1173751_10151592869267344_1385200974_n1239708_10151592870337344_996058604_n
