Opening in theaters on August 22, the comic book adaptation stars Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Josh Brolin, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Julia Garner and Stacy Keach.
Universal Pictures and director James Wan are gearing up to resume production on Fast and Furious 7. Production was halted after the death of Paul Walker, and since then they’ve been working on making adjustments to the script.
THR reports that the “remainder of the shoot will last from six to eight weeks, according to insiders. Cast and crew will be called back to Atlanta, where filming had been scheduled to resume after Thanksgiving.”
The movie is scheduled to be released on April 10th, 2015. This franchise has grown into something pretty awesome. I’ve really been enjoying these films, and I hope they can keep things on a high level of cool.
While talking to The Huffington Post about his role in Wes Anderson’s upcoming The Grand Budapest Hotel, Jeff Goldblum was asked about whether or not he wanted to return to the “Jurassic Park” franchise with the upcoming Jurassic World.
Ian Malcolm may have been one of the most popular characters from the first two movies, but as one might expect, the casting for the upcoming reboot seems to be set in place and they seem to be getting away from the characters that appeared in the first three movies. Goldblum told them that he was never called to appear in Jurassic Park III either, but that he was happy with the two movies he did.
More importantly, Goldblum also confirmed what Roland Emmerich had been saying last year about bringing his character David Levinson back for Independence Day 2:
“Yeah, they’ve talked to me about it and I’ve talked to them about it and they’re excited and I’m anxious and eager to see — I haven’t read anything — what they cook up. You know, I think they’re trying to put it together.”

According to James Bond co-star Ralph Fiennes, director Sam Mendes is prepping to start shooting Bond 24 in October. Fiennes plays Mallory in the film, who took the title of M from Judi Dench.
At this point there are no details on the story, but Daniel Craig will be back as 007 for the fourth time. The script for the movie comes from John Logan, and Fiennes hasn’t read it yet. When asked about it he said,
“I haven’t read a script yet, so I can’t tell you much. They’d probably swear me to secrecy anyway.”
Are the Wachowskis working on a new “Matrix” trilogy? That’s the rumor coming from Latino Review, who say that the Jupiter Ascending filmmakers are returning to the franchise which brought in $1.632 billion for Warner Bros. Pictures.
It’s been over 10 years since the last film hit theaters. The Matrix, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving, opened in theaters in 1999 and was followed by both The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions in 2003.
According to the site: “We’ve been told that the Wachowski’s have already started the writing process with early treatments and outlines already turned into the studio. No word if they will want to direct but my money says “Claro que Si!”…
The derisive ending of the original Matrix trilogy include the bearded Architect suggesting that Neo wasn’t the first “One,” opening the story world for prequels.”
Holy shit… this new trailer for Godzilla is awesome! This thing gave me goosebumps. I never would have imagined that another Godzilla movie would look so freakin’ incredible. I’m seriously in awe right now. Director Gareth Edwards is going to deliver a Godzilla that even the hardcore fans should appreciate and enjoy.

With the sad passing of comedy legend Harold Ramis yesterday, many movie fans wondered what it would mean for the seemingly always in-development Ghostbusters 3. The project was already moving forward without Bill Murray attached, but now will they make the film with just Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson? The answer to that question appears to be “yes,” as The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Sony has plans to rework the script that they have been developing. Continue reading
A couple of months ago Disney gained control of the Indiana Jones characters so they could continue the adventures of everyone’s favorite archeologist. There was also a rumor going around at the same time saying that Harrison Ford had a few conditions that had to be met for him to return as Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII. One of those was him reprising his role as Indiana Jones.
Now thanks to Market Saw, we have word that Ford is in negotiations for two more Indiana Jones films. This is what their source had to say,
“Regarding Harrison Ford, two more Indiana Jones features are in the negotiation stages as per Ford’s contract clause on Star Wars, which is the primary reason he didn’t ‘publicly’ or ‘privately’ commit, or so I’m told.”
So will we see not just one, but at least two more Indiana Jones movies! There’s no word on how involved Lucas will be on these or if Steven Spielberg will be back to direct. Whatever happens, I can only hope they are able to come up with a couple of great stories. I really wouldn’t mind if they moved forward as if The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull never happened.
American actor, director and writer Harold Ramis has passed away, reports the Chicago Tribune. According to the newspaper, Ramis died at 12:53 a.m. from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels. He was 69. His wife Erica Mann Ramis said he was surrounded by family when he died.
The Tribune added that Ramis’s serious health struggles began in May 2010 with an infection that led to complications related to the autoimmune disease. Ramis had to relearn to walk but suffered a relapse of the vaculitis in late 2011.
Ramis’s best-known acting roles were as Egon Spengler in the Ghostbusters films and Russell Ziskey in Stripes, both of which he co-wrote. As a writer/director, his films included comedies Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, and Analyze This.
Ramis’s credits also include National Lampoon’s Animal House, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Stuart Saves His Family, Multiplicity, Bedazzled, Analyze That, The Ice Harvest, “The Office” and Year One.
Following an appropriately awesome (and still growing) box office for their The LEGO Movie, Warner Bros. Pictures has officially set a release date for an untitled The LEGO Movie sequel: May 26, 2017! No details are yet available as far as exactly what shape the sequel will take but, as previously reported, Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan will provide the screenplay.
Now in theaters, The LEGO Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
The LEGO Movie, which has earned over $200 million worldwide, features the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell, Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.
