So Universal Pictures decided to released their first full trailer for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie during San Diego Comic-Con. I just find that weird for some reason. I’ve hardly posted anything on this movie since it doesn’t really interest me, but since it’s a full trailer, and I know there’s an audience out there for this thing, I figured… what the hell? So if any of you are interested or curious about what this thing actually is, you’ll find the synopsis and trailer below. After I watched it… I’m still not interested.

Fifty Shades of Grey is the hotly anticipated film adaptation of the bestselling book that has become a global phenomenon. Since its release, the “Fifty Shades” trilogy has been translated into 51 languages worldwide and sold more than 100 million copies in e-book and print—making it one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever.

Stepping into the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who have become iconic to millions of readers, are Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

Joining Dornan and Johnson in the cast are Luke Grimes as Elliot, Christian’s brother; Victor Rasuk as José, Anastasia’s close friend; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia’s best friend and roommate; Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian’s mother; Rita Ora as Mia, Christian’s sister; Max Martini as Taylor, Christian’s bodyguard; Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Anastasia’s stepfather; Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Anastasia’s mother; and Dylan Neal as Bob, Carla’s husband.

Fifty Shades of Grey was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and the screenplay for the film is by Kelly Marcel. The movie will be released on February 11th, 2015.

Ridley Scott’s EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS

20th Century Fox has released five new photos from Ridley Scott‘s biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, which tells the story of Moses. The movie stars Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver, and Ben Kingsley.

Scott is amazing when it comes to making these kind of ancient period films, and I really am expecting something great. I know he can deliver. When talking about working on the film the director had this to say:

“What I thought I knew about Moses I didn’t really. Either I wasn’t paying attention in Sunday school or I had forgotten. I was knocked out by who he was and the basics of the story—it has to be one of the greatest adventures and spiritual experiences that could ever have been.”

Bale plays the prophet Moses in the story, and when asked about Charlton Heston‘s version of the character, this is what he said:

“Charlton Heston does Charlton Heston better than anyone. But the biblical account of Moses is extraordinary, and there was lots of room for us to go to places that [Heston’s movie] The Ten Commandments never dreamed of going.”

Edgerton was cast in the role of Ramses, which is a very interesting choice, but one i think will pay off. This is what the actor had to say about landing the role in such a high profile movie:

“When you’re Ridley, you pick up the phone and people will turn up. I had to battle demons of self-doubt to feel like I belonged in this club… You take the hair off a man you never know what he’s going to look like. It’s like when you throw a bucket of water on a little dog. When Ridley first called me I have to admit I was like, ‘Really, me—Pharaoh of Egypt?’ But he made it work.”

He went on to talk about the relationship of his character with Moses:

“There’s a deep connection between the two of us. It becomes a really complicated relationship that starts with a lot of love and companionship and ends with destruction.”

The movie is set to be released on December 12th, and it looks and sounds like it’s going to be awesome! Expect to see the first trailer soon.

Keanu Reeves Replaces Daniel Craig in THE WHOLE TRUTH

https://i1.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/539e73a6e4b01c7e0bfe32bf/1402893229026/fondo-keanu-reeves-wallpaper-5.jpg?resize=584%2C441

Daniel Craig was set to star in a courtroom drama called The Whole Truth, but unexpectedly had to drop out four days before shooting began. Deadline is now reporting that Keanu Reeves has come in to take his place. This will be quite a different role for Reeves than the kinds of films we’re used to seeing him in. Lately he’s been doing a lot of genre films dealing mostly with martial arts, which is something he obviously has had a passion for since The Matrix.

The actor will play a defense attorney who “fights to get his teenage client acquitted of murdering his wealthy father.” He will join the previously cast Renee Zellweger, Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle), and Gabriel Basso (Super 8, Kings of Summer).

This isn’t the first time Reeves has played an attorney, he also played one in The Devil’s Advocate. I really do like Reeves as an actor, and it’s good to see him take on a part like this that breaks free from the norm he’s accustomed to . The movie will be directed by Courtney Hunt from a script written by Nicholas Kazan. The film will shoot in New Orleans after the Fourth of July weekend.

David Fincher Wants Christian Bale to Play Steve Jobs in His Movie

Apparently, director David Fincher wants Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs in his biopic written by Aaron Sorkin. It would be awesome to see Bale in the role. I think he could pull it off perfectly. He’s got the look and the talent.

Fincher recently met with the studio about the possiblity of directing the movie. It’s not set in stone yet, but if it happens this would be my dream team of talent to bring this movie to life.

The news comes from The Wrap, which says that Bale has not yet been approached to play Jobs. I’m sure one day they will, though. The actor is currently taking a break since finishing his role as Moses in Ridley Scott‘s Exodus.

The biopic is based on Walter Isaacson‘s bestselling authorized biography. That book was based on more than 40 interviews that the author had with Jobs, as well as interviews with friends, family, and colleagues.

The film itself is said to consist of three long scenes that feature the launches of some of Apple’s most buzzed-about product launches, including the Mac, NeXT (after Jobs had left Apple), and the iPod.

Photos from New Walt Disney Movie WALT BEFORE MICKEY

We’ve got a few photos from a new movie that focuses on Walt Disney called Walt Before Mickey. This is the first time I’ve heard of the film, but it’s in the middle of production, and it stars  Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie) as Walt, Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) as his brother Roy, Disney alum David Henrie as an animator, and Jodie Sweetin (Full House) as Charlotte Disney.

This is an independent film being directed by Ari Taub, and it’s based on a book by Timothy S. Susaninthat. The movie is set from 1919-1928, so it chronicles the life of Walt up to the point when Mickey Mouse was introduced to the world. The photos come from the film’s Facebook page via: /Film.

Here’s a full description of the book that the film is based on:

For ten years before the creation of Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney struggled with, failed at, and eventually mastered the art and business of animation. Most biographies of his career begin in 1928, when Steamboat Willie was released. That first Disney Studio cartoon with synchronized sound made its main character–Mickey Mouse-an icon for generations.

But Steamboat Willie was neither Disney’s first cartoon nor Mickey Mouse’s first appearance. Prior to this groundbreaking achievement, Walt Disney worked in a variety of venues and studios, refining what would become known as the Disney style. In Walt Before Mickey, 1919-1928, Timothy Susanin creates a portrait of the artist from age seventeen to the cusp of his international renown.

After serving in the Red Cross in France after World War I, Walt Disney worked for advertising and commercial art in Kansas City. Walt used these experiences to create four studios-Kaycee Studios, Laugh-O-gram Films, Disney Brothers Studio, and Walt Disney Studio. Using company documents, private correspondence between Walt and his brother Roy, contemporary newspaper accounts, and new interviews with Disney’s associates, Susanin traces Disney’s path. The author shows Disney to be a complicated, resourceful man, especially during his early career. Walt Before Mickey, a critical biography of a man at a crucial juncture, provides the “missing decade” that started Walt Disney’s career and gave him the skills to become a name known worldwide.Walt-Before-Mickey-3 Walt-Before-Mickey-1 Walt-Before-Mickey-5 Walt-Before-Mickey-4
