I would have never thought in a million years that an A-lister like Cranston would be cast as Zordon in the Power Rangers movie, but it’s happening! Zordon serves as the Power Rangers’ mentor.

In case you didn’t already know, this isn’t the first time the actor has been involved with the franchise. He previously provided voices for series’ earlier projects. He was so popular with cast and crew that a character was actually named after the actor. That character was Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger. It’s so cool that he’s making a comeback to the franchise.

Cranston joins the previously cast actors that include Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger, and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Power Rangers is currently in production, and it hits theaters on March 24th, 2017.
