In the 80’s super heroes really only existed in the comics books but there was hope in this show! The idea was an instant hit! and such an original idea! The classic ’80s TV hit The Greatest American Hero is apparently returning to television thanks to Fox, Deadline reports. In case you weren’t aware, the show focuses on a run of the mill teacher who inherits a super-powered red suit from aliens but loses the instructions on how to use it. He ends up discovering the powers built into the suit mostly through slapstick goofball trial and error. It’s (hopefully going to be) a nice, lighter side to the grimdark gritty superhero stuff we’ve been seeing a lot of lately.
Behind the revival are some names that you might recognize: Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo behind The LEGO Movie, are slated to produce, and Rick Famuyiwa, Dope director/writer, is set to write.
I loved this show! It was such a fresh idea and the attempt to make it action, and comedic at the same time. I am excited to hear about this project, and will keep everyone posted as more comes to light! Are you excited about the project? Want to hear us talk about this issue?
