A Knight Rider film is in production starring David Hasselhoff. There is a trailer for Knight Rider Heroes. There’s really not that much information on the project, other than this vague tagline:
The Foundation for Law and Government has a new mission…You sure you’re ready for this?
There’s an official website as well where you can sign up for updates. Hasselhoff reprises his role as Michael Knight, and it looks like he’s enlisted the help of someone to accompany him on his newest adventure.
A couple of years ago The Weinstein Company started developing a feature film version of Knight Rider, but this is not associated with that project. Knight Rider Heroes comes from Knight Industries Media Inc.
I grew up watching Knight Rider, much like many kids around my age. I loved that show. I even had the toys and T-shirts. I can’t help be think this will be a ridiculously bad idea. The time for the show is over, and technology has changed. The movie can just offer up some nostalgic moments.
