So it looks like Bradley Cooper may have just dropped a very big SPOILER regarding a major character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The movie came up in an interview with MTV International while the actor was promoting his new film Burnt. The actor, who plays the ass-kicking racoon Rocket in the films, was asked about the movie, and he just started talking about the identity of Star-Lord’s dad like it was something everyone already knew.
If you don’t want to know what he says then stop reading now and don’t watch the interview. Seriously, this is a major major spoiler if Cooper really knows what he’s talking about.
If you can’t watch what he said, here’s a little transcription:
“Josh Brolin’s the villain, no? Or he’s the main villain, no? He was in the first one, he played whatshisname’s Dad. You know who I’m talking about? The Dark-Lord… the main guy.”
The name you’re looking for is Star-Lord Bradley. That’s the “main guy.” So, judging by what Cooper is saying here, Thanos is Star-Lord’s dad… KA-BOOOOM! Mind-blown, I didn’t see that coming… if it’s true.
I’m kind of wishing I didn’t watch that interview at this point, but dammit, my curiosity got the better of me.
Cooper did the interview with Sienna Miller, and the look on her face when she realizes Cooper’s let something big slip is pretty amusing. She tries to get him to shut up, but he just keeps on going and going and going.
I imagine Marvel is going to be pretty pissed off when they find out about this. There’s a chance he was just messing around, after all, he is an actor. Or maybe he doesn’t know what in the hell he’s talking about. I’m curious to see what comes of this possible big slip up.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit theaters on May 5th, 2017.
