Forza Horizon 2 – Storm Island DLC

Forza Horizon 2 was all about beauty, its rendition of Italy and France a thrilling and glorious display of rolling hills blanketed by vineyards, stucco buildings and poppy fields. Isola Della Tempesta is a little more dramatic and brooding. Sure, there are rolling hills, but there’s a lot more dirt and gravel with the odd stretch of tarmac, and it’s usually very, very wet as you barrel across – well, through – the countryside in rally-themed events.

While the events focus heavily on Extreme Offroad and the rally classes, any vehicle from your garage can be retrofitted with rally tires and suspension if you want to explore. The upgrades do cost you a few thousand credits, so make sure you explore and smash the new, bright blue discount boards. With 80 new events to take part in, this represents good value for money with even the hefty price tag, and it’s a downright bargain if you have a VIP pass as it’s 50% off. In the pack, you get five more cars (not including the barn find, the utterly potent Metro 6R4) and all of them can be transplanted back to the main game. There’s a smattering of dastardly bucket list challenges and even more white-knuckle signature events, all spread across an island which is about the fifth the size of southern Europe (or at least, Forza’s approximation of it). Get stuck in.
