Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare achieves a new “level of graphical fidelity”, says Activision

It isn’t just literally the first ever shooter ever in which characters dress up as robots, run on walls and do double jumps. It’s also the first Call of Duty game post-Modern-Warfare to be created in three years, rather than two. Activision announced the switch to a three year cycle in February – here’s how developer Sledgehammer has spent the extra time, in the words of Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg.

“I think the answer is honestly several things,” he told investors during last night’s earnings call. “I’ll just focus on a few of the most prominent. I think, first and foremost, is visual and graphic fidelity and polish.
