Check out the post below, in which the actor makes a smart breakdown of why the “Man of Bronze” is such an important character (he’s basically the world’s first superhero), whom Johnson calls “A F*CKING HILARIOUS WEIRDO!” Continue reading

The big news out of Sony Pictures presentation at CinemaCon was the new Spider-Man Tom Holland taking the stage, where the official title Spider-Man: Homecoming was unveiled. However, that wasn’t the only Spidey news that came out of the convention, with the studio unveiling the official logo for their Untitled Animated Spider-Man Project, which is arriving in theaters sometime in 2018. Rumor: Michael Keaton Is in Talks to Play a Villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming

It looks like Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming is about to get even more awesome with the possible inclusion of Michael Keaton as the villain in the film. The news comes from Variety, who says that the actor is in early talks to join the Jon Watts-directed film. If cast, he will join Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Zendaya in a mystery role.

Kevin Feige Confirms MCU Characters Will Appear in Sony’s Spider-Man Movies

About nine months ago, Marvel Studios president and mega-producer Kevin Feige, the architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said that based on the agreement he made with Sony Pictures to share the rights to Spider-Man, characters from the MCU “could” appear in Spidey’s new movies for Sony. At the time, we all assumed that meant that it was a given those crossovers would eventually happen, but Feige’s use of the word “could” meant there was still a chance — however small — that the MCU characters would be restricted only to Marvel Studios films.

Now, in a new interview with EW, Feige confirmed everyone’s original assumption: those MCU characters will, in fact, appear in Spider-Man’s solo films. Continue reading

Venom Movie Plans Are Back On

Plans for a Venom movie are back on!

Sony Pictures has revived plans for a Venom movie, unrelated to the upcoming MCU Spider-Man.

In a surprising turn of events, The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that Sony Pictures is once again looking at bringing Venom, the Marvel Comics antihero, to the big screen. According to the trade, however, this doesn’t sound like it’s going to be a Venom movie connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in any way. The trade notes that the new film is unconnected to next year’s Spider-Man, which is set to star Tom Holland as your friendly neighborhood webslinger. Continue reading
