Remember Avatars, Xbox’s answer to the uber-popular Miis of yesteryear? Well, at E3 2017, Microsoft revealed that they’re coming back, and this time with a ton of expanded customization options. Revamped Avatars will launch on Xbox One this fall, and you can get a quick taste of what’s to come with a new trailer.
Bad news if you enjoy playing Disney’s Marvel: Avengers Alliance and Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2 . Disney has decided to shut down both of those games on all platforms on September 30th. In order to ensure that no one spends any more money on the games, purchasing has been disabled as of September 1st. According to the announcement, this was a difficult decision because of the passion and support of all the players, but they want to shift their focus to new titles. They are at this moment shifting developing towards “a growing selection of Disney Mobile apps,” so apparently something needs to go. Continue reading
An announcement on the Warner Bros forums has stated that the remastered collection of Arkham Asylum and City which was planned for next month now no longer has a release date. “Batman: Return to Arkham” was announced in May after a steady stream of leaks but has been delayed to “give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.” Continue reading
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced “Injustice 2”, the super-powered sequel to the hit game “Injustice: Gods Among Us”. The newest game in development from the award-winning NetherRealm Studios features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. A sequel to the widely popular DC fighting game “Injustice: Gods Among Us” is coming March 2017. That’s if you believe the rumor from a French website which VG247 says has a source close to the game. BANDAI NAMCO has officially announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the most expansive Dragon Ball videogame experience to-date. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently in development at famed Osaka, Japan based videogame developer DIMPS (who previously developed the first Xenoverse title, among other Dragon Ball games) and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. A couple of new rumors coming our way courtesy of Nintendo Life. The first rumor comes from the word of several developers within the industry, and is by far the more exciting of the two. It’s being said by many that the Nintendo NX is a noticeable step up graphically than the PS4. While some may remain skeptical given Nintendo’s track record with consoles, this may be the reason behind both Microsoft and Sony actively pursuing “upgrades” for their current gen consoles. Prior to THQ’s shuttering in 2012, the studio had been workig on a big-budget superhero game tied to Marvel’s The Avengers movie. The game, tentatively titled “The Avengers: The Movie,” was designed as a first-person action game in which you could play as members of the Avengers; however, it was cancelled in the wake of THQ Australia’s closing.
While we’ve seen leaked footage of the cancelled game previously, a brand new video, courtesy of Unseen 64 and DidYouKnowGaming, has emerged, offering more gamplay footage, assets, and even details about the game’s development. Continue reading
